I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the conduct of the owner, Robin, during my wife’s visit to your workshop to request a quotation for vehicle repairs.
My wife approached your workshop in good faith to obtain a quote. She was met by Robin, who immediately stated that he was not interested in quoting, explaining that his workshop was “the best and the most expensive” and that he would therefore not take on the work. This was communicated in a rude, dismissive, and unprofessional manner.
At no point was there a polite explanation, alternative suggestion, or professional courtesy extended. The interaction left my wife feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. Regardless of whether the workshop wished to take on the job or not, there is no justification for discourteous or arrogant behavior toward a potential customer.
We fully respect a business’s right to decline work. However, professionalism, respect, and basic customer service should always be upheld—especially by an owner representing their business.
I trust this matter will be taken seriously and that steps will be taken to address the conduct described above. We would appreciate acknowledgment of this complaint and clarity on how such situations will be handled going forward.
