Denmar - A Powerful Healing Experience
My whole experience at Denmar was absolutely fantastic - as sick as I was. The nurses are kind, caring, helpful, and competent, and my psychiatrist and psychologist were first rate. They were so excellent that I have actually continued seeing them outside of Denmar. I was treated with absolute kindness and dignity wherever I went and met some other wonderful patients there. I really enjoyed their company, and that says a lot because I am an introvert. The place is very clean and beautiful and everyone enjoyed cuddling the few kitties that roam around freely. The food was pretty good too - I'd rate it 7.5 / 10. The portions are very generous and the food is always fresh and tasty. Their coffee is great too. The occupational therapy activities included painting, mosaics, and other psychological health classess such as boundaries and letting go, which were quite helpful. Overall, it was an incredibly healing experience and if I ever need to get help again I would not consider anywhere else. I would recommend it to anyone. Anyone who complains is just nitpicking or has a mental problem - excuse the pun.

No patient care - for a place that has to help with mental health they don't care about their patients mental health at all!!!
Complained about the service I received from psychiatrist. They contacted me to sort it out as my meds are not correct and the Helo I received is to wait another month and a week to see the psychiatrist to get the right meds. So therefore no help received and complaint not resolved!

No patient care - for a place that has to help with mental health they don't care about their patients mental health at all!!!

The worst mental facility
The worst mental health services! The place is smelly and cats are everywhere. When you checking in they climb on tables. They roam in the wards as well. Don’t let me speak about the shower facilities. The food is disgusting. Even government hospitals give better diet. Mediclinic should be ashamed to have a brand associated with such poor standards. Nothing the****utic about this place.

Worst hospital ever
DENMAR PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL IN PRETORIA THIS IS THE WORST ****ING HOSPITAL EVER. AND IVE BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK. THE WARDS ARE DISGUSTING. FILTHY AND FULL OF BED BUGS. THE NURSES ARE PATHETIC, COLD AND HEARTLESS. MYSELF AND THE OTHER PATIENTS ARE FINDING MORE STRESS RATHER THAN GETTING ANY HELP FROM THIS PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL. I ****ING HATED IT. I just discharged myself and I'm on my way to Akeso in park town with the best managers there. I pray this place closes down. Men who work for the hospital walk into the females bedrooms at night and say it was by mistake. What if they had ****d someone, and obviously would say the lady is mental and doesn't know what she is saying. ***. The food is disgusting. The receptionists were so unhelpful. The only good worker was Duane at front desk. Please please please don't send your loved one to this hell. They will leave worst off than they already are. I'm speaking from experience. Please don't. Love and light.

I had a very comfortable stay at Denmar
My Thursday time here. Nursing staff are always incredibly helpful looking and friendliness. Foods is good enough takings into account you are feeding over a hundred people in a place like that. I was surprised!

Inconsiderate Denmar working hours
Demnar's visiting hours are honestly ridiculous and inconsiderate. Their visiting hours are from 15:00 to 16:30 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. They have not taken into consideration that there are people who go to work during the week and knock off at 16:30. They have made no provisions for those people - how are we supposed to be there and support our loved ones who are in hospital. You get told to come in on Saturdays ONLY when you raise the issue with them. Please consider this when booking yourself or loved ones into this hospital.

Invasion of privacy and ***ual assualt plus sodomized
I have been sodomized and physically touched and injected with **** while I was sleeping and naked with my fiance in numourouse times and living in different locations, of have been trying to avaid these people for over a year now plus going on since 2016, when I was locked up for false accusation, I have spoken to the police and to the Hawks about it and wasn't helped to catch these people and have them locked up for invasion of privacy and ***ual assault
