Subject: Appreciation for Excellent Service – Alberton Housing Department Dear Alberton Housing Department, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service I received at your office on Voortrekker Street. From the security personnel at the entrance to those directing people to the relevant departments, everyone was professional, friendly, and efficient. A special thank you to the gentleman who assisted me. He welcomed me with a smile, allowed me to ask as many questions as needed, and ensured I fully understood the process. Despite being busy training a new staff member, he remained patient and professional, creating a comfortable learning environment for her as well. Big applause to the Alberton Housing Department for your excellent customer service. Keep up the great work! Best regards, Thuli 0685495324

I would like to lay a complain regarding one of the staff members employed by Stefa construction & Stedon Construction. The name of the employee is Bonginkosi Mbatha residing in Durban, currently working at the springfield RDP contruction. This particular employee is going around ****ming people and claiming to be working for this company for years i hired him based on knowing how the company he's working for upholds high level of quality and ensuring they always deliver a valued and consistent service in all that they do. This particular employee is a ****mer who asks for deposit upfront and never finishes the work hes been paid for instead he changes numbers so that we cannot get hold of him. It is with great sadness to experience such from an employee employed by a high valued company that is big on assisting low income communites.

My Sanelisiwe Zwane. A 35 years old living with a disability for my entire life. My experience with the Department of human settlement has not been a pleasant one. Due my disability with affect my walking ability l was being looked after by my mother until she passed on in 2017. She was a single with no job rising 10 kids including with a disability. When l was 7 years old in 1996 she decided to register for an RDP house over the years she kept on going to the housing department offices they kept on telling her she was on the waiting list but they give her a special needed receipt due to having a child with special needs like me. They promised her that her application will be moved forward quickly. But nothing happened. 19 years later in 2015 some people from housing department come looking for my mother told her that in about a month time she will receive a key to her house but we waited and waited nothing happened until she eventually passed on 25th September 2017 then in 2018 l so a post on the human settlement Facebook page about giving people who registered in 1996 houses l commented on the post explaining the story of me and my mother. As result l was invited to the Housing department in Braamfontein with her documents explained that my mother passed on still waiting for her house leaving and my little sister with no place to stay with my medical condition. They advised that l needed to provide my ID, proof disability and proof that l am disability grant recipient this was done to transfer my mother application to my name since she is no more. They said l must wait for a period of 3 months to receive a stand or house it been 5 years now l have no heard anything information from the department of human settlement. I am currently having to use my disability grant to rent a place to stay for me and my little sister which expensive as hell for a unemployed person like me. My question is was my mother house give to someone else or Who if so because she died in sorrow and pain due needing a safe place to stay for herself and her children especially me. How can service delivery take 27 years? What is the purpose of Human Settlement or Housing Department in South Africa? If we are still suffering for housing like this.
