The UIF is absolutely pathetic.
I submitted a payment request online to UIF on the 24th of March 2026, I have still not received a single payment from that date.
Every single time that I phone then nobody can direct me to anybody that can help me and I just get told that I need to go into the labour centre that I listed on my application form. Even when you phone the labour centre itself nobody picks up the phone.
I thought the whole idea of the online system was to avoid having to physically go to the labor centre and stand in long queues.
Yet another lovely example of the **** poor service delivery that we suffer with, all thanks to the South African Government.
Please start getting your act together and actually treating us like the human beings that we are.
