This company exists for the sole purpose of legally committing ***** and *****ing from people. It is comfortably the worst financial services company on the planet. I guarantee they will not make you a cent, they will purposely and wilfully mislead you charge you heavily for doing so. nI highly recommend staying well clear. If anything rather have them investigated by the authorities. deVere is a disgrace!

I have been a client for over 7 years with different agents advising & assisting me over the years, the present one being Derek Hunter. I have found them all to have been very professional & knowledgeable about the investment options available to me. I very much appreciate the regular contact I have with my agent & the quarterly reviews are excellent in putting a name to a voice. Throughout all the years the advice & recommendations I have received have been spot on & have greatly enhanced my financial position. I would not hesitate in recommending the company to anyone.

I second Peter B, I was on the "graduate" program in 2017. Same story, 300 hundred names and numbers, no duplicates to start off with. We spent 2 x 1 hour slots calling people per day, making 50-70 calls a session. We spent the remaining 6 hours hunting people down on Linkedin. Poor company culture and the only thing that matters is numbers. 1 out of the 6 individuals got an offer to stay, he is no longer there. The shark mentality and arrogance of this company is astonishing with an extremely high staff turnover right. Once on their CRM system , a prospect will most likely be contacted again because they don't take no for an answer. Any person looking to work for them, the culture is horrific, to put it into perspective, if the employees want a year end function they must pay out their own pocket. Any person wanting to them to invest your money, you are only a number and they couldn't care less.

I was found or head hunted for their graduate management program, which they run once a month, every month. On arrival and getting to know the place somewhat, in Cape Town, all their sales staff are British and their aren't too many. Now, with a graduate programme, that has been running that long, why are there not more South Africans working there? What I discovered was that the graduate programme is nothing more than a lead generating system for them. As part of the graduate programme, you have to bring at least 300 new leads, people names and numbers to put into their system and it can't be a duplicate of what they have on the system already. They are using the graduate programme as a means to fill their database. Their cold calling technique or script, is way too long winded and wordy. Management thinks the sun shines out there asses, especially the trainee manager by the name of Andy Chalkin. I asked Andy what happens to the leads after we put them into the system and they "expire" after 3 months. He lied and said that they fall off the system. Now, I know they're smart, if lead generation is your thing, it would be stupid to have them fall off the system. I asked somebody else in front of the class who happened to be there on a similar issue regarding the lead system. I asked him the same thing, he said that they stay on the system in the general pool ready for anyone to call. They had 26000 names and numbers in the general pool, from previous graduate programmes. The only problem is, nobody gets hired, unless you're british. It's a waste of time. Management will throw you off the co**** if you bruise their ego's and there's a lot of them. Secondly, the best consultant their at month 9 only closed 30 deals. That's an average of 1 every 6 working days. That means they're going through about 600 calls just to get one deal. Which comes back to my original point. Their cold calling techniques suck and I mentioned that (I've done it for 12), I got thrown off the co**** for it.

<p>This company sells financial services 'advice' and products. They stalk you on LinkedIn and hassle you with phone calls trying to get your business.</p> <p>I have received calls from them for over 5 years, despite telling them repeatedly to take my name off their records. They call from Cape Town and Durban.</p> <p>Very annoying.</p>
