We were in the self catering camping 1-3 Aug '25 We paid the bathroom key deposit We only used the key for the first time on the Sunday, it was not fitting properly in the lock, when trying to open the key broke We pgoned Charmaine and a guy came to fix the lock, he also said the lock was not installed properly since the metal plate for the lock was missing as well We asked for our key deposit and Charmaine rep****: "Kindly note that unfortunately, they will be no refund, as the key was not reported from the Friday until it broke on Sunday." As mentioned we only used the key for the first time on Sunday when packing up Please refund our deposit ASAP

We were accommodated in the Dam View Chalet on weekend of 15 Nov 2024. Really substandard accommodation: Damp creeping up the walls. Large dustbin in kitchen with no lid! Very unhygienic. Both braai tongs totally ineffective. Toilet paper holder in bathroom loose. Large very noisy fan in one bedroom. Sounds as though it is about to take off. Impossible to sleep with it on. Torn pillow and pillowslip. Microwave heats for max 6 minutes. Very sp**** furnishings. Bedside globes in one bedroom serve no purpose. Toilet leaking in one bathroom. Sleeper couch in lounge needs to be replaced. Tatty and worn. Covered with what seems an old black fitted sheet. Whole chalet is in dire need of a serious upgrade. Not worth the R3200.00 per night rate! (1 ply toilet paper??). Staff overall not very friendly. Seems they are more concerned about visitors abiding by their strict rules than ensuring the comfort of their guests. Poor show Dinokeng Reserve. Will never return and will never recommend!

Booked a campsite for two nights midweek after being told we cannot day visit. Informed them we could only be there on the second night but respect their two night min policy. Upon arrival were advised that our campsite was occupied so basically they took our money and then double booked the site. We swam in the pool with no water slides as it was “off peak” so they don’t operate (on private school half term weekend) and were advised that we may not return the following morning. Despite being booked into a campsite due to check out the following morning. The staff were rude and unhelpful and refused to give us contact details for management.

I would like to share the experience we had at big five comfortable cottage game reserve, the owners, Michael and his wife are so down to earth, excellent service, the place is wheel chair friendly, easy to approach, my husband and I have a peaceful gateway. You will be informed every time there is an animal passing you can also relax at the pool there cottage is big and there is a bigger space.

I wouldn't recommend this place, we where day visitors for 2 day, 1st day for 2 adults 3 kids were 575r paid cash. The 3 kids slept over the 2nd day we went thru it was 1400r. The idiots in the office overcharged us with 290r.and said the person at the camping site should refund us. So before the campers left the office people said theyll send thru a voucher. I DONT WANT A BLERRIE VOUCHER. I WONT GO THERE AGAIN. I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

We had a most delightful midweek breakaway at Golden Impala Bush camp. The staff were very accommodating and delivered service of very high standard The surrounding environment was very tranquil and relaxed. The room was really exquisite, nicely set up and very beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit them again.
