Today I shopped at the Dischem branch in Riverwalk Vereeniging. This has been going on for years, I've always assumed it's because I'm in a rush, but my till slip shows a different story. I used their app, I used an actual calculator, I even went further and matched the barcode on the shelf to the product's barcode to ensure the price is the same so that the mistake is not on my end, always asking for a staff member's help too, only to get to the till and it's higher and incorrect. We don't have the time to complain at the till to fix it, when we have to rush to complete other errands. It's not the customers job to fix the pricing issues on their system and their shelves. It's weird to shop around, have the staff help you, think everything's going well, get to the till or home and see this nonsense. How does one acknowledge the good your staff do when there are mistakes your staff make? How can you advertise something for R116.99 on the Dischem app and Promotional price tag on the shelf, but the till slip says R129.99? You then check your slip again and there are 5 to 6 items that are priced incorrectly. I don't have the time or energy to go back to the store to report the issue when I've told your staff about it the first two to three times. Are yall running a ****? I genuinely want to know. We shouldn't have to ask for it to be fixed at the till, it's not supposed to happen in the first place. What are yall doing at the store before customers go in and buy? Have yall been doing this sh*t on purpose for years? It's messed up to ask a staff member if the price is correct, they say yes then it's not correct at the till or on your receipt. I can't remove the item at the till, when I NEED it and when I'm rushing out to other errands, I'm wondering if Dischem knows that and that's why it's purposely incorrectly priced that way. Mistakes happen but what the hell is this? This is beyond just false advertising or incompetence.
