I purchased a Centurion Gate motor sliding D5 smart kit on the 20th September 2023 . As this was an expensive item I called the number to see if everything was legit and then proceeded to purchase .The delivery too little longer than expected and finally arrived and I was relieved . I was renovating at the time and only fitted in the gate motor in around October /November , when trying to install with a certified gate motor installer , he mentioned there is something wrong with this and does not want to activate , I then phoned Centurion head to find out why the gate motor doesn't want to work , they informed me that I should come in and they will assess it . when I arrived at Centurion in kaya sands they informed that the warranty had expired already on the motor and digital board , I was very upset and phoned DIY shop , the person Eddie was irate and did not deal well with the service person , eventually centurion replaced the digital board for and then contacted DIY and said that was most unprofessional , old motor and part sold well after warranty expiry . my problem was solved and then installed , it was not even 2 months later and the batteries were dead so these batteries were old or expired , when I called I came upon the rudest most arrogant man that did not want to give me his name , he blamed this on loadhshedding even though I have solar and told him so - he was so rude and told me to go and complain on social media he doesn't not care .- I did not like his arrogance . .I will definitely not deal with these people again .
