At first they seemed nice, affordable and friendly. It all came crashing down 2 days before the move date. Everything was planned and packed to a t from our side, as it was an interprovincial move that had to happen on the booked date. On the day that we were supposed to move, they tell us that the driver has some issue and he can't do the move. Debbie says she can't help so I phone the driver directly. He gives me excuse after excuse as I find a solution for each. They could not give me a legitimate reason why the move couldn't happen on the planned date.
When they finally came 2 days after the planned date, I showed them exactly what to load and what to leave. They ended up putting some of the landlord's stuff in the truck even though we put it aside and specifically asked them to leave it.
Fast forward a couple of days - we are unloading our things. They have managed to bend the hinges on an almost indestructible microwave. Surfboards are chipped. Solid wooden bed is broken. Desk is broken. Bicycles that were bubble wrapped somehow came undone and are now scratched. That is only the start of it. I have forgotten most of what they broke as it was a year ago and we had to throw most of it directly into the trash.
In hindsight, we should have gone with a professional company, even if it costs a bit more. Replacing everything they broke probably cost just as much, let alone not knowing what date they would do the load and unload.
