I am posting this update to warn other business owners and to keep a public record of my experience.

I was signed up for advertising services by Dotcom Africa (Pty) Ltd under representations that the service would generate leads and business exposure. I never received a single client or lead from this advertising.

Despite the complete lack of value delivered, I have been harassed for years with payment demands, interest, and threats of legal action. The matter has been escalated to SMA International, who continue issuing intimidating “final demand” letters without addressing the core issue — non-performance and misrepresentation.

I have formally disputed this alleged debt in writing and requested proof of services rendered, performance reports, and evidence of value delivered. To date, none has been provided.

A quick search on HelloPeter reveals numerous similar complaints, indicating that this is not an isolated incident but a pattern of conduct affecting multiple small businesses.

I am now documenting this publicly for transparency and will be escalating the matter to the relevant consumer protection bodies if the harassment continues.

I strongly advise business owners to exercise extreme caution before engaging with Dotcom Africa or agreeing to any advertising contracts without verifiable performance guarantees.
