I took my daughter to the Emergency Room on the 25th of September 2021, she had a temperature of 38.5. We had to pay upfront and claim back from our Medical Aid. We waited 45 minutes to be attended to. Then the Doctor just advised that it was teething. We were given a script and sent home. My daughter's condition did not improve by the 27th of September 2021, so I took her to her GP. She was diagnosed with an Ear and Throat infection, not teething. The following day, I was sent the statement of account post calling for it. It showed that I was over charged. I have been waiting since the 28th of September 2021 for this practice to refund me the over charge. I was advised via email that I missed the September refunds. So I had to wait until the end of October.... I emailed them on the 10th, 18th and 25th of November as well as the 1st of December 2021. I only received one reply stating they have escalated my request on the 10th of November 2021. This is shocking 'service'. When I call in all I get told is that they will follow up with the Accounts person. I cannot speak to that person nor can I send that person an email.

I have received an SMS advising that there is an account outstanding of R358 which was an admin fee, with the threat of legal action if the account is not settled by 11/1/2020. I have no idea what this is for and tried contacting them on the number provided which was never answered. I eventually contacted casualties at the Glynwood Hospital. I was then informed that their accounts were hacked and the amount outstanding was from May 2018. This was paid on admission. I find this extremely unprofessional. They have my number and could have called. How can anyone be held liable for an account that is over 2 years old.

Good day. Before i start complaining i just want to say the help i got from Dr Jordaan and Dr Patel was superb thank you Drs. Ok now my complaint. As i am a member of Discovery keycare i can only go to the ER/emergency response once though i am also an epileptic and dislocated my shoulders 2 times in two months because of epilepsy. My broker told me that epilepsy is seen as an emergency and the dislocations was supposed to be recorded as an emergency. With the correct codes sent to Discovery i would not have had to pay my account with Dr Pretorius & Hogg out off my own pocket and that atcually happened. I had to pay out of my own pocket. Epilepsy, dislocations equals no job. Yet i payed. If the Doctors can send the corrected codes to Discovery i can claim my money back from Discovery. THEY JUST NEED TO SEND THE CORRECT CODES. Doctors are smart people. Please i really need that money. Regards Hans Grobler
