No help whatsoever. I was boomed into unitas for a ovarian cyst which iw as told could be dangerous as i had EXTREMELY bad pai. He came to see me the next mornig, laughed off the matter and took me off the drip and gave me pills. Pain pills... He then came again the next morning discharging me saying i must go home with more pain pills... No scans. No tests, NOTHING!!! I am in extreme pain still and will be going to a different doctor tomorrow to get scans and proper help as he was completely unprofessional Nd made jokes about everything. Barely did an examination and ignored my pain and complaints regarding how i felt (nausea etc)

This Doctor is amazing. Made the right choice by choosing him as my DR when I got pregnant. My baby and I are in good hands.

Dr Shai Oren is one of the best Jewish gynecologist situated in Centurion Netcare Unitas Hospital. I would recommend his service to every woman in need of antenatal care, pelvic floor repair, chronic pelvic pain and abnormal period. His prices are the most affordable especially for those using cash or medical aid and you benefit much more if you are part of these schemes Bonitas, Fedhealth and Momentum because they claim on behalf of the customer and depending on your benefits you don't pay a thing or you pay less amount. His receptionists are amazing, keep up the good work ladies🌹🌹💞🌼🙏. The booking system is in point, the receptionist call to confirm booking on your first visit. Don't hesitate to make your booking on 0101100105 or the website. The doctor is available on WhatsApp to respond to your queries, and I love that he cares for your life and health more than money. If there is any emergency that you experience before your check-up date he can call you in for check up (mostly free of charge/on the house depending on situation)...this is the best point/best feature that I don't know of any gynae who does this☺️🤗🌼🏵️🌺🌸🌹💞❤️❤️🙏🙏. May God Bless you Dr Shai Oren, you have the best service and the best heart for the people you serve.

I booked an appointment with Dr Shai Oren for a scan- When I called the receptionist to make the appointment Khanya and asked if they accept Momentum Health Insurance and gave her my details she assured me that she called them to get authorization - she was in such a hurry to leave the office instead of doing her job properly - this was on a friday like a week or month before my appointment - the total cost of the scan was R1800 to which we had to pay a co payment of R900 at the appointment and they would have to claim the other R900 from our Medical Insurance - on the day of our appointment - they took my details again and then asked me if I had called Momentum to get authorization to which I replied No as I was unaware that I as the client had to do so - their communication is disgusting. Before even going into the appointment one of the receptionists called momentum and could not get through to them and said she will try again - I then asked what happens now and she said she will call again which she did not do while we were in the appointment and again when we were done with the appointment still did not complete her job or communicate that they did not get authorization from Momentum - Dr Shai Oren racked up a bill of R1 303 for blood tests to which we asked how much will the blood tests cost before even doing the tests and he replied that there is no cost as the medical aid will cover it not even confirming with us just doing the test and expecting us to pay to which we are now paying off. While we were in session with Dr Oren the receptionists still did not call the Medical Insurance and didnt even tell us that they did not call again. They proceeded to claim the full amount R1800 from our Medical Insurance after the appointment knowing that we paid R900 on the day - to which the claim was rejected- then 3 months later sent us a sms saying we have an outstanding amount of R900 and that the Medical Insurance didnt pay - changing their story over and over - when we sent proof of payment that we paid R900 on the day and all they had to do was claim R900 from our medical insurance to which they did not do they then said we are liable for the R900 but they fraudulently claimed for R1 800. We called Momentum and they said the Invoice needs to be amended which still Dr Orens receptionists could not get right. Up until today they are sending us Invoices for R900 they couldnt correctly claim for and sending us threatening smses. I am almost 9 months pregnant and they are stressing me and my baby out because they could not do their job properly. They should be investigated for fraud. They lack professionalism and proper communication skills.

I made an appointment last week for the first time with this dr as I needed urgent assistance with the specialist. The lady that was there helped me so well and gave me the Wednesday 07.8.2020 to come for an appointment. On Tuesday I realized I had a work commitment that caused me to change to a later time to try and move the appointment. I called and the office phone number kept diverting to a cell number that no one picked up. His trading hours as a prosesional business says it open until 17:00 but 16:00 no one was answering the previous day.I called in the morning Just after 8. This lady who answered was just upright rude. And was screaming at the top of her lungs. I could even pick up form her tone that she was irritated. I asked to move the appointment to anytime later than 11. It seemed as if she either did not have the schedules in front of her to confirm or she was irritated by me. I ended up asking if She cannot transfer me to the lady that was assisting me as I could hear she was fighting. Her answer was she is not even in the office, when she gets to the office she will get the doctor himself to call me and make an appointment. I asked her to then pass my number to him as I need desperate assistance. She refused. She doesn’t know my condition, she doesn’t know if what I have is something that could kill me or not. Why is she working at the Drs office with such lack of empathy and compassion. Why are drs really keeping people like those at this time of so much enxiety and uncer*****ies. I tried him . It’s not fair

Dr Shai Oren When I was 2 months pregnant, I googled best rated Drs, that's when Dr Oren who practices at Unitas popped up. I started seeing him, and he gave me his fee prices for R 1750 first time consultation, then R 750 after. 26 September 2018 I received a fixed rate quotation for a private patient stating: Natural birth R 22 500, C-section R 32 500, Private room R 900 and Epidural R 2500. Exactly in that order. I asked for a breakdown, none was given to me, so I felt like I'm covered if they haven't given me a breakdown to this PRIVATE PATIENT FIXED RATE! My medical insurance paid the money requested by unitas upfront when we had just arrived. I was seeing Dr Oren once a month and paid cash every time I went to See him. He was always in a rush to treat me and also limiting our Baby scan every time when we asked. My last scan a week before my delivery I was 40 weeks pregnant. he said my baby was weighing 2.1kg, told me my baby is small. I disagreed, told him my baby can't be that small, but hey, he's a Dr. Eventually he agreed and said something is maybe wrong with the scan machine. He also assured me that the baby will be around 2.5kg and baby looks good for a Natural birth. On this day, he booked me for an induction for the date of the 11 December 2019, he doesn't mention anything else, or make us sign anything for this process like a consent form for him to deliver my baby. On the day of my induction 11 December 2018, my water broke around 7pm. My Husband and I rushed to the hospital, arrived around 8pm. I was immediately admitted. For the Shock of my life, I've booked a bed on the 14 September 2018, with my possible due date of 03December 2018 as advices by Dr Oren. The next day 12 December 2018 around 12pm, Dr Oren said my baby is 8cm, he will be back at 2pm to deliver the baby. At 2pm, we started with the natural delivery, we tried pushing 5 times, but his head was too big to fully come out, he used a suction cup, but the head came out half way. Dr Oren kept pulling his head, was so traumatic! There was blood splattered all over the room, with the baby failing to come out, he suggested an emergency c-Section AGAIN WITHOUT A CONSENT FORM. He didn't take his time to check or feel why his head Is not coming out fully, that brings us to this past behaviour and neglecting a patient. We then waited until 5pm to get a theatre room. Mind you, my Son's head was half way out for hours. Eventually I delivered the baby at 5:05pm, weighing 3.2.1kg. After the delivery, they gave me a glimpse of my baby before taking him to the ICU, to get a brain scan (not in our knowledge). 14 December 2018, the day of my discharge, Dr Oren came to check on me that morning, to check my operation and told me I must use a scissor to remove my 2 stitches after 2 weeks. I asked Dr Oren when my Son will be discharged, he said during the weekend he should be discharged, but no, he stayed there for almost 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, I started leaking yellowish creamy fluid on my operation. I reached out to Dr Oren, he ignored me and simply said I must go get checked out... he didn't care or show any concerns. Because we have already paid the Hospital in full, and Dr Oren not making us sign for his bill or consent form, we thought he will be getting his payment from the money paid to the hospital, also a bill forward or a consent form for the c-section. Dr Oren has put a lot of trauma during my delivery, also putting my son in ICU for almost 2 weeks. Dr Oren didn't give us his bill forward before delivery or a consent form, because he knew if he had done so, we wouldn't deliver with him. He entrapped us for his financial gain after bad service
