If I could give a zero I would. So all started very good and I was quite impressed with the effort Drone Gear was willing to do.
I wanted to order something from them for my Air 2S and specifically asked whether they do overnight shipping, as I would only be at the delivery address for another day. They said they will ask their courier partners and let me know. 5 minutes later they informed me it is indeed possible and I need to place my order and they will sort me out. Happy as one could be and very excited!
After keeping an eye on the tracking info I was very disappointed to see that the scheduled delivery was only 5 days after the order was placed! I decided to phone the courier company as to why this is the case. They informed me that they do not offer overnight shipping to my location (only 2 day if the parcel was handed to them in time), do not delivery over weekends or on public holidays and that they did inform Drone Gear of this before hand and when the courier picked up the parcel. Needless to say this made me livid. Not necessarily the fact that I will not get the required gear but rather that they blatantly lied to me to get a quick buck and completely wasted my time, I could've tried another company that could've made a plan for me. Despite this I continued to be nice with the staff and asked for a refund.
Now the refund. They firstly informed me that this will not be an issue and they will give me a full refund. Just for them to tell me afterwards that they can only give me a refund when the parcel is back in their care. Now in normal circumstances I can understand this policy, but surely someone with some common sense would realise that this policy is for sure as hell not applicable in this case. They made the error with regard to the shipping, and admitted as much. So even after all this the inconvenience is still on me. Now I need to either dig into my holiday fund to search for gear at another place, or wait for them and their courier partner to get the parcel back to them, which will be to late. The sales person did ask the "manager and boss" and they opted to stand behind their company policy.
So now the wait for my refund. I only expect it to come in early next year, with all the holidays coming up.
I would not recommend Drone Gear at all, it is quite obvious that they are after your money with zero business etiquette or common sense. There are numerous other businesses out there that would see past the senseless "policy" and simply do the right thing. Think twice before you spend your well earned money here!
