Emailed various Yamaha agents in SA, the only reply I received was from Ruan Brink at Droomers Yamaha in Bellville, 5 star service and went out of his way to help, also letting me know what model the bike was. Piston and rings needed had to be ordered from Japan as it is an old bike and major genuine parts are not available in South Africa.
