just now NEW If i could've rated half a star instead of 1 star, i would have. Last night (24/07/22 Sunday night) my partner and i decided to dine at Dros Canal Walk Mall. We had both recalled good experiences at other branches previously and thought we would've enjoyed a good evening and dinner but we got the complete opposite instead. Service, the meal presentation and quality and cleanliness of the restaurant were all TERRIBLE. Service delivery was incredibly slow despite the fact that the restaurant was practically empty. Glasses were filthy. Food arrived cold. Ladies bathroom was filthy. Our waitress was not even apologetic and couldn't even take the initiative to ask her colleagues or another waiter to assist her with service while she focused on serving one of her other tables. Other waiters were nonchalantly waiting to go home as closing time was approaching and couldn't care less when we asked for assistance, while 2 other staff members were noticeably drunk on duty. Definitely will nit be returning ever again, nor will i refer any friends or family to this branch.

I was appalled by the quality of service we experienced here on the 7th July. We were a table of 4 adults and a child. I ordered a burger for my 5 year old and it was presented cold, the bun was coming apart, there were no condiments and utensils and I had to ask the assigned waiter for these. Moments later my pork ribs arrived and they were tough and bitter. My partner had ordered a pasta dish and this was very bland. My sister's partner ordered a T-bone steak with vegetables and he got an unidentifiable piece or red meat and chips. When he pointed out that the order was incorrect he was told that the store DID Not have any T-bone steaks. He ended up sharing my sister's seafood platter. Her seafood platter arrived with no rice. We soon realized that out waitress (Thoko) had dumped the table and was nowhere to be seen. When I took my daughter to the toilet I was shocked to find floating faeces in the one cubicle as well as general toilet dirt in the first and second cubicle. I decided that I would not take a chance since I am pregnant and cannot afford an infection. What seemed like a managed later came to my table and went straight for my sister's partner to ask if he had a problem and offer him dessert. He had no immediate solution to the tone steak issue. I can honestly say that we will never return to that branch. The service is appalling. After all these issues we had a waiter standing by our table and telling us that he needed to catch his transport home and this was 21h40.

My partner and I decided to try DROS canal walk after always walking right by. To no surprise we waited at the entrance for 10-15 minutes with the waiters walking by looking at us. Not saying a word... We were eventually seated with no menus given. 15 minutes passed and we were given 1 menu to share amongst 3 people. Each of us taking turns deciding off a dirty menu (in this time the tables weren't cleaned at all) When the waiter arrived we ordered and waited what seemed to be 30-40 minutes with no food or drinks in site. Until I eventually asked what exactly is happening. When the food arrived it was as cold as ice.. As if they took it out of the fridge for me. After sending the meal back, the "cheese sauce" tasted like flour water". The best part was definitely paying and leaving this horrid place.

Am not happy with the service that l got from Dros Canal Walk. We come to the restaurant every Sunday as its family day out but the issue of outside patrons coming to sell their items inside the restaurant is not on. I did bring it to the manager(Patrick) who then told me its allowed . So how does management allow people to come sell inside and mind you we eating and they standing and selling stuff. Please let me know if its part of the company policy as it serves as a disturbance

Our Dearest Carol 🤵🏾♀️, She has been our waitress every time we visit Dros ( how lucky we are) and she always AMAZING 👏. Caring, precise, welcoming, well spoken and so very respectful. This girl is going far. Restaurant owners in Canal Walk must understand one thing and ONE THING ONLY: YOUR ESTABLISHMENT IS LITERALLY MADE BY YOUR WORKERS, from they way they treat diners and from the way they prepare food back at the Kitchen. Complete attention, precision and cleanliness. We couldn't help but give Carol the biggest tip. Well done my dear, you deserve it. Keep it Up. We will be coming back, asking for our her, and hungry for more🙂

This girl is going far. Shambles!!! Drinks just bad!!! Strawberry Daiquiri was a watery watermelon mess... You couldn't even swallow the margarita; Ribs were available in two minutes, clearly warmed up and overcooked. The manager looked like a schoolboy who'd been in a fight with a torn-looking shirt... Wholly unprofessional and never again will I EVER set my foot there again.

The service was poor. The girl that served our table didn't come ask us once if everything was okay. She didn't even offer us a baby chair because my toddler boy was with. When we were ready to pay she was nowhere to be found. Definitely wont be going there again. The service is unacceptable
