So Monday after been recommended Eagle Canyon Cycles, I head off with the sample brake pad from our gardener so we can get his bike on the road again. Walking in, seeing no one, then finding the counter, a lady sweeping nearby looks interested to help me but immediately says they don't have, and was clearly not willing to help, but hands me one double the size which confuses me. She asks if it is a mountain bike, to which I say, "I'm not sure." With this, a young man walks out from the back and joins our conversation. He then takes over and says he can order two sets. He takes my name and number and says he will call me in the afternoon to tell me if they have and when I can collect. ...and amazing, he called in the afternoon saying I could collect the following day as they still needed to put it through stock and he gave me the price. I didn't get there Tue, so Wed morning on my way to work I stopped in. What an experience!! The owner/manager behind the counter did not even greet me as the customer, and as I asked about collecting the order opened his mouth with such foul language and when I said I had been called to come and collect, that I was told it needed to be put through stock first, he kept up with his bad language, to which I told him I had not had good service when I first came in and he shouted 'rubbish you're a liar, we treat all our customers well.' Out from the back came the young man who had helped me on Monday and he was clearly panicky and tried to tell his story but got the same abuse. He was asked why he had phoned me, to which he responded, "because you gave me the price, I thought it was here." I then asked if I could then have the brake pad back and he gave one double the size and said 'here take that." I refused saying it was not what I brought in. They fumbled around scrumiging to find the brake pad which had clearly not been ordered, so I walked out without it. I was not prepared to get into anymore conversation as it only fueled this man's anger. One shop I will never step foot in again, nor will recommend to anyone I know.
