The Ear Institute in Pretoria has provided me with my Phonak hearing aids and their servicing over many years .I have always experienced very friendly service and received much good advice from them . Their regular checking and cleaning of the hearing aid tubes also comes without charge , as does the friendly greeting I get from all the staff on each visit . And there is never any pressure to buy the latest and more technical products on the market . Spencer Thomas.

Be warned about these *******. I went for an ear test with these people in Claremont Cape Town. R1680.00 later we left. I now ask for a report and guess what..they want R400.00 for the test results ! In my naivety I figure R1680.00 for a 45 minute test would mean a written report as to the result. No way ,cannot quite fathom this logic where one goes for a test and NO report is given ,unless asked for and paid extra for. Not going back there in a hurry.

I have been using the Ear Institute (3 different branches) since 2014, and the service experience has been spectacular. Nothing is too much effort, and always with a smile. Their staff is hands down their best asset!

On Saturday 2nd of March 24, we visited the Ear Institute in Queenswood Pretoria, what a pleasant experience, although it was not the first time we were there, we were once again reminded of the excellent and professional service. This is just to say thank you and we will see you again. Highly recommended!

The staff and audiologist, Megan Unwin are "angels here on earth". My mother who is visiting us was having a problem with her hearing aid of which the brand does not have local support or spares. Instead of saying sorry we do not, or can not, work or fix her hearing aid and send us on our way, they squeezed us in and assisted WAY above and beyond any expectations just so that she could have a quality of life (hearing) visit with her grand and great grand kids. The compassion, understanding, assistance, etc., received deserves 20 stars and not just 5. Our family is forever indebted to these wonderful people.

I don’t like going to social media but got no help directly from branch. Went to have “motorear” plugs moulded/ made up for a 8000km long bike trip I was doing. The person who helped me was very attentive and professional but on discovering that I had swimmers ear, was concerned about not getting a proper mould. I wanted epoxy plugs but someone advised her that I should have silicone instead. Being the professionals, I agreed to their advice. When they arrived, they went in with a bit of difficulty but thought it would be ok. After my first ride with them in, I had to remove them after 1 hour as my inner ears where burning. On taking them back to see what could be done, I was told sorry that all they can do! Surly when you pay R1200 for ear plugs, they should be done properly and your client should be happy with your product. Anyway I feel people need to know that this experience can be expected and after sales service is not great 😞
