My license disc expired on 31/08/2021. I paid Easyrenew on 09/09/2021 (within the grace period). On 05/10/2021 I was told my disc was acquired and I needed to pay R151.30 to release the disc. This fee was additional to the R230 originally quoted. When I got my disc document I found out Easyrenew applied for my disc after the grace period on 01/10/2021 and the R151.30 was the late fees the license office charged. These people are unethical and unprofessional. I don't suggest anyone use them.

Morning Denver Let me begin by apologising for the delay in the renewing your vehicle licence. There is unfortunately a significant backlog at the branch of the Post Office that processes our renewals due to the sheer volume of vehicle licences needing to be processed at one time. This volume of renewals is a direct result of the Department of Transport deciding during the first lockdown to move all March, April & May expiry dates to August. The net result being four months of renewals accumulated into one month. Eventhough we had no control over the delay, I am more than willing to refund you the extra amount charged by Road Traffic.
