Economy Bookings are ****mers
Economy Booking are ****mers,dont use their **** services.I traveled to Durban ; I reserved a rental car on November 28 via Economy Booking. I was meant to get the car on December 23, 2025, but Dollar Rental in Durban declined, claiming our credit scores were insufficient, which stopped them from giving the car. I was not made aware of the credit checks while making the payment to Economy Bookings, which feels unjust. They are declining to return my money.

bait and switch company
BAIT AND SWITCH COMPANY - I rented a vehicle through economy bookings (to save a few bucks) and they sent me to a local car rental agency, after having my own full coverage insurance AND purchasing EconomyBooking's full coverage insurance, rental car local company required me to purchase their insurance at $400 as well. I declined the additonal charge, therefore none of my paid amounts were refundable.

BAIT AND SWITCH COMPANY - I rented a vehicle through economy bookings (to save a few bucks) and they sent me to a local car rental agency, after having my own full coverage insurance AND purchasing EconomyBooking's full coverage insurance, rental car local company required me to purchase their insurance at $400 as well. Rifund for a car rental
We have done booking using this company and the amount that was on the list change to US dollar and we picked it up after the payment was done, and we mistakenly put the incorrect dates we choose March instead of February now we requesting the refund as per police they no where to be found they automated email we can't get hold of they and they don't have direct line in SA when you google you find the foreign numbers

We have done booking using this company and the amount that was on the list change to US dollar and we picked it up after the payment was done, and we mistakenly put the incorrect dates we choose March instead of February now we requesting the refund as per police they no where to be found they automated email we can't get hold of they and they don't have direct line in SA when you google you find the foreign numbers

I paid a deposit to confirm the booking plus a full payment of R7999 for the booking. Up on arrival,my driver was told that there was not Mercedes benz c200 available and they will provide a similar vehicle, which we refused ,we wanted a Mercedes benz c200, on top of that we were told a holding deposit will be R25000 , which the later was not mentioned on the booking, my credit card limit didnt have that 25k ,all other companies deposit normally at R12500 or less … so we had to cancel the booking, from February this year 2024 up until today, economy bookings have refused to refund me the R7999 plus R300 that i paid

Avoid, avoid, avoid!
I had a problem while hiring a vehicle in France. Economy Bookings did not respond to my numerous emails, and offered absolutely no assistance whatsoever. Rather book direct, and avoid dealing with this useless company.

Stay away from economybookings
I booked a car online with them. They cancelled the booking, claiming that I cancelled it, and then refused to refund me. I was stranded in a foreign town and had to get another car from another company. They have zero customer service. No one you can phone. No one who phones you. I had to search and search to eventually find an email address, and it took them 4 weeks to reply to that email, with absolutely nothing helpful to say at all! Stay away from this terrible ****my company.

I booked a car online with them. They cancelled the booking, claiming that I cancelled it, and then refused to refund me. Never Use Economybookings.com - Swindled of R2000+
Totally ****! Booking reference number: 1145285965 I booked a VW Polo according to the EconomyBookings.com website. On arrival I was told it's unlikely that I would every get the VW Polo. I was given a choice between Haval H1 or Hyndai Grand i10 - worst ever and bottom of the range models. I settled for the Haval. I was charged a deposit and rental amount of ZAR 14,959.00 and I received a refund of ZAR 9,700.00 having refuelled and washed the car using valet service. This amounts to a rental cost of ZAR 5,259.00. I was expecting to pay a total booking fee of ZAR 3,198.47 (ZAR 429.43 to secure booking + ZAR 2,769.04 outstanding fee according to booking confirmation). The cost was the main reason I chose to book with EconomyBookings.com in the first place, as opposed to booking directly with the car rental company. This is the worst service ever received and I will never use EconomyBookings.com again!
