We canceled our alarm with ecp in November and they continued to debit our account for 2 months thereafter. I have called about 4 times and written about 6 emails and waited over a month to receive our refund and we have still not received a cent. I am not even sure if we will ever see that money but I don't recommend this company for the poor service and response.

When buying a new house in Hillcrest Pinehurst Durbanville I was forced to accept ECP security who had already installed an alarm system in the house without me having a choice of a security service provider. This arrangement they have with Garden Cities the developer. Besides this infringing upon my constitutional right of freedom of choice the service I receive or rather lack thereof is appalling. Last Tuesday early morning (03:45) my outside beam triggered the alarm. ECP control room called told them I noticed no unlawful activity and reset the alarm. Five minutes later it triggered again. Control room said a fault would be registered with the technical dept who would call me during the day. Needless to say they did not. Wednesday early morning the same happened and again a call would have been logged with the technical dept who would call me. Again no call. Later Wednesday afternoon again the beam triggered. Control room said they would send an email to technical who would be in contact with me. To date no such contact. A week later sent email sms voice mail to operations director Mr Jooste still no response.
