I needed electrical work done urgently after one of Eskoms power outages. As my phone battery was about to expire and I had no internet due to no electricity I had to call the first ones I found namely Elite t/a DKJ Plumbtec 24/7. The tech arrived after 8 and immediately started with the work saying something about EL cables. It was difficult for me to ask for a price as he was already busy with the work. Afterwards he gave me an invoice R 850 for tracing and locating my premises and R1850 for replacement of E/L. He told me he needed immediate payment and that I could do it by EFT. This was the first time he mentioned it-while he hovered over me in a rush, giving me the details I transferred the cash. He said he needed confirmation on his phone that it had been paid otherwise his boss would ......didnt catch that part. Then he left-R@2700 for 20 minutes. I called later for the price of the EL unit that was replaced, he mumbled something to the effect that it was not replaced but R1850 was what they charged for doing what he did.
