The Emergency Appliance Repairs website tailors your google search reply to make you believe that they are the experts in repairing the make and type of appliance that are looking to repair. I was fooled by this and made an online booking and agreed to pay a R200 call out fee. Three servicemen came out and told me that the main PC board had tripped and needed to be replaced. In checking for the problem they tried to unplug the washing machine which shared the electrical power point with the Dishwasher. This plug was stuck tight and broke off when they tried to get it out. They didn't open the Dishwasher but said they were sure that the main PC board needed replacing and (now) so did my power point . They gave me a verbal quote for both with the PC board costing about R4 500 but agreed to provide a written quote when I insisted on one. When they left me I could now no longer use the Dishwasher or the Washing machine so i was worse off than when I started.. I have still not received their quote and have emailed the bookings email address twice now to ask for one. In the interim I got a quote from LG Western Cape and it was under R3 000 to replace the main PC board so this whole episode feels like a bit of a scam and I can't be sure whether my Dishwasher needs a new main PC board or not.
