0 stars if I could! They are thieves. After quoting R2080,00 to repair my dishwasher they arrive and now say R3500,00 plus a call out fee of R200,00. I could have bought a new dishwasher. Riedwaan Andrews then gave me a discount of R400,00 to R3100,00!!! I tried to stop payment and also contacted SAPS to which he came back and gave me R850,00 refund. Payment has gone through. He even asked me to close the door while fixing the dishwasher and was very pushy with immediate payment. He told me I needed a new floater and rubber which after getting another company out at an additional cost, the floater did not need to be replaced and he never even replaced any parts at all! The dishwasher was worse off, not working and leaking even more. He has since threatened me, sworn at me and given me a friendly warning whatever that is supposed to mean. I challenged him by phoning Defy and Claremont Home Appliances , costs of the parts he so called replaced amount to approximately R300,00. It turns out it is the dishwasher pump and the bottom rubber which he did not replace. Beware of this company. Their website is a scam and they are conmen. It says they have won awards 3 years in a row! Location of the company does not exist they have no business premises. For a company to claim they are professionals is beyond me, rude and arrogant, never mind the language he used telling me I phoned fake suppliers to get prices.

A team of 3 came to fix my bosch dischwasher which had an error where the tap light would flash. As I was not home they phoned me to say the capacitor had blown and the replacement would cost R950 for the part, R450 for labour and R200 callout fee. I agreed, they did the replacement and the dishwasher now works. When I got home I tested the ''Blown capacitor'' with my fluke multimeter and found it to be in perfect condition. I tried to call the owner as well as the technicians for an explaination but they dont answer. Besides the fact that they didnt have to replace the capacitor, I also phoned around and got a quote for R231 for a new capacitor (I was charged R950).

APPLIANCE REPAIR : Oven repair: Conmen!!! Consumers beware! Company: Emergency Repairs Solutions, * also trading as: Emergency Repairs / Emergency Appliance Repairs http://www.emergencyappliancerepairs.co.za/ Located Athlone CT Owner: Ismail Andrews (083) 737-3802 25 May ‘21, technician Ridwaan from Emergency Repair Solutions and his team conned me big time! Unnecessarily replaced my rapid-heat Bosch oven’s thermostat with a bogus used inferior one, stating that that was the oven’s problem ( was not so). Charged me a total of R2,595 Thermostat cost was R1,950!!!! (True retail cost to customer as per Bosch Spares Dept for thermostat = R880) Subsequently had their “new” thermostat removed via Bosch Service Head office, only to discover Ridwaan installed a basic SECONDHAND item which retails new around R200! (Reminder: Emergency Repairs Solutions charged me R1,950 for this), Owner Ismail Andrews responded to me under pressure with this WhatsApp message received which basically states subsequent to my persisting with calls to him after his 2nd visit that they HAVE cheated me out of R2,595!): (sic): “Hi mark..i had a meeting with the technicians that were there again today however i spoke to the apprentice last after they had left today..he tells me that your thermostat was in fact not replaced..i will speak to them again tommorow to figure out what exactly went on there and why it was not replaced but you were charged for parts(?♂️) will call you in the morning Thanks” Owner Ismail Andrews 0837373802 has blocked me contact his cell! …BEWARE! I have had to call-in a Bosch affiliated technician (not bogus as they told me that were Bosch specialists) to replace their thermostat with new Bosh specification thermostat @ R880 - when my original thermostat worked without fault. I expect Emergency Repairs Solutions to pay me for this unnecessary cost., yet they refuse to either return my original item ,or pay for the new one. #EmergencyRepairsSolutions, #EmergencyRepairs, #ApplianceRepairs, #OvenRepairs

The Emergency Appliance Repairs website tailors your google search reply to make you believe that they are the experts in repairing the make and type of appliance that are looking to repair. I was fooled by this and made an online booking and agreed to pay a R200 call out fee. Three servicemen came out and told me that the main PC board had tripped and needed to be replaced. In checking for the problem they tried to unplug the washing machine which shared the electrical power point with the Dishwasher. This plug was stuck tight and broke off when they tried to get it out. They didn't open the Dishwasher but said they were sure that the main PC board needed replacing and (now) so did my power point . They gave me a verbal quote for both with the PC board costing about R4 500 but agreed to provide a written quote when I insisted on one. When they left me I could now no longer use the Dishwasher or the Washing machine so i was worse off than when I started.. I have still not received their quote and have emailed the bookings email address twice now to ask for one. In the interim I got a quote from LG Western Cape and it was under R3 000 to replace the main PC board so this whole episode feels like a bit of a scam and I can't be sure whether my Dishwasher needs a new main PC board or not.
