i hove purchased a Hoverboard on the 23 December 2025 from empire gaming on umhlanga rocks drive, durban. firstly when we entered they were no lights at the store. they had told us stock will come in on the 24 December 2025, we can pay and collect it the next day. then the card machine is not working. so my husband and i when to the ATM and withdrew cash. we went back to the store only to be told that they system are down when we asked for a receipt. a lady by the name of simone said that she will whatapp the receipt to us mind you she was drunk, they wrote our details on a normal A5 note book 1 x mutli colour Hoverboard @ R1700 and wrote our name and contact number. then we asked them how do we have proof of this purchase, she told us to take a picture of the book, mind you the book had other peoples details on the top of mine. anyways we took the picture. we went the next day collected the hoverboard.(Simone was drunk again) My son used it for 10 mins or lesser on Christmas day and the day after it blow up. we called another guy that worked there, who told us bring it in the next day which we took it back to the store.(now the other lady head was on the counter while talking to them didnt even care to lift her head of the counter to assist us, Mind you Simone couldnt even remember who we were.) we left it there and they told us we must come back the next 2 to 3 days to collect because head office is closed for the public . weekend. so we said okay we left the hoverboard. my husband knew the guy working there and took his number and we left. from then till now we are having endless problems. we have'nt received my son hoverboard we are calling them they are lying, they telling us today tomorrow. we went to the Umhlanga store it is now closed, when head office Calvin answered my call the first time he was very rude i was angry and told him that i needed my sons hoverboard and we are calling everyday with no response and took off me me and said the stock will be in durban the following Tuesday. Tuesday came nothing the entire Month of January went pass they not taking our calls no response from them. finally a wee ago calvin took my call and said the stock is in durban and gave me ikraams number and that we will get the stock the next day. i called ikraam he took my number and said not to worry he will deliver to my home the next day i must call him. so i called the next day no answer i called the entire day they refused to take my call both ikraam and calvin from head office. So i went and commented on their facebook page to get Calvins attention. he now blocked me from facebook and changed the post setting so no one can comment. i put my number on private and called calvin he answered so i asked him is he making me a fool, he cut the call. up till now we are having such a difficult time to get our hard earn money back. my son cry everyday asking me where is his gift. People like this should not be in business and from what i heard they doing this to alot of other people as well. how far its true i dont know but all i want is my money back. you rather suppose people who are honest and supporting people of this manner.
