I purchased a bag at En-route Leather and Luggage Bags in Fourways mall, and to my dismay, the zipper broke within just two weeks of use. This is clearly a manufacturing defect of a poor quality product, and as such, I expected a prompt and appropriate resolution.
However, my experience has been nothing short of appalling. When I contacted the store about the issue, I was met with extreme rudeness and unprofessional behavior from an elderly female sales clerk. The abrasive lady took the defective bag from me and **** that I would be contacted the next day after she had consulted with the owner. It's over a week, I have yet to receive any communication from them.
The lack of follow-up and the absence of any after-sales service is entirely unacceptable and tantamount to theft. I would like to remind them that under consumer protection laws, there is entitlement to replacement or refund for a defective product. Their failure to address this matter in a timely and professional manner is not only disappointing but also reflects very poorly on them.
