My name is Donald. I purchased a Defy refrigerator worth of R4800 at Fair Price Mafikeng yesterday 26/12/2023, paying using debit card. After payment was made I was told the funds have not yet reflected onto the stores account, whereas the Bank App and SMS notification shows the funds where paid to the store. I even showed the sales person/store manager he still refused to release the refrigerator and told us that we have to make another payment. We were at the store for quite some time trying to get the bottom f his claim. He even used my phone to call what he said was the bank and gave us a reference number afterwards. We left without the refrigerator. I have hired a Bakkie and paid R1000 for the collection of the refrigerator. He told is should the fault be on the stores side they will deliver the refrigerator free of charge as we leave close to 80km away. I cantactecmy bank today I wax too the funds have been released to the store they provided us with a number which the store sales person/ manager had provided and we were advised that the store has to use that very same number to manually bank the funds onto their account. Why didn't he do that from yesterday instead of giving me the reference number. Now I called the store and he til me that the funds haven't been released into the stores account and the reference will expire on the 4the why must I wait till the 4the to be the fridge which I am purchasing for my elderly mom. He even til us that he is not going to call the area manager resolve the matter, should he contact the area manager he will lose his job. All i want is the Refrigerator which I already paid for
