Unprofessional and unethical behaviour by estate agent - Rulene Fourie

I found a house for rent on the property24 website. Rent was advertised as R10000 per month. I contacted the agent Rulene Fourie working at FAR Properties to arrange a viewing. Upon viewing I immediately liked house, confirmed the rent R10000 and fee R800, requested and submitted my application. Two days later Rulene confirmed that my application had been accepted along with a few others and that she will recommend my application. A few days later I followed up with Rulene, who was unavailable and submitted a call back request at their offices. My call was never returned. A few days later I noticed that the rent on the property24 had mysteriously gone up to R10800. I contacted Rulene again no answer and left a message asking if the owner had decided on an application and she messaged me back that she had been in a meeting and that owner had accepted another application the day before.
