VERY SLOW SERVICE, OVERCHARGING AND EXPENSIVE!!!
I used Fireplace Warehouse Randpark for a service only because i bought a fireplace from them 6 years go .I had a water leak coming down the flues causing rust which i told Amy is goign into the fireplace and the lever is jammed.They then sent a quote to seal the roof and clean fireplace and check everything and repaint. After 3 weeks waiting and my appointment was booked for a Friday morning (and told i would be first that day as im closeby in Randpark) they went and did another house in Bryanston first. Eventually it was too late to come through .So they came on Saturday Roan and another worker. They sealed the roof they gave the fireplace a chimney sweep then sprayed the flues again. however they coudl not get the lever to move . The Monday i received an email from AMY to say my flues have rusted they need repalcing. Really! thats exactly what i told her from day one! then why go ahead and try clean them and spray them int the first place when u can see they are rusted!!!! then charge me. i then received another quote for new flues etc.. Problem is if you cant move the levers how on earth do you think the air inflow is going to work!!! and you are in the Fireplace Business!!!

27 May 2022, 07:00Good Day Mandy, all fireplaces need to be serviced and checked on a yearly basis. If this was done on your fireplace the water leak would have been discovered before it caused damage on the fireplace and could have been repaired. There is so much rust inside the unit that the water leak must have been running into the fireplace for at least 6 months to a year. This has resulted in the air adjustment lever rusting solid in it's current position. We tried to release the lever when we were there but it is so badly rusted that we couldn't get it to budge. The only way to sort this out is to remove the unit and send it to the factory for reworking and repainting. the unit has so much rust inside it if it is not cleaned properly and repainted the rust will continue to cause further damage and you will be back at square one or worse.
