I took my Tag Heuer watch to Fischer's Jewellers in Walmer Park, Port Elizabeth to replace the battery in my watch. At the time of submission, the watch was still functioning, albeit with symptoms of a low battery (the seconds arm moving every 5 seconds instead of every second). Upon collection, I was informed that the issue was not the battery and that the watch was not functioning. I requested that the old battery be reinstalled to preserve the watch's functionality, but this request was denied. Furthermore, I was told that Fischer's could not guarantee the identity of the removed battery. I declined the offer to send the watch for repairs, as I believe the watch's condition worsened during their custody.
