Proceed with caution

Unfortunately I have had a very poor experience with Florstore. I employed a property manager , Property Management Solutions, to oversee the renovation and repair of our house in Cape Town while we were still living abroad. Property Management Solutions recommended Florstore to replace carpeting and install wood laminate in the house. I specified that the wood laminate was to match existing flooring. Without confirming with me, a decision was made to install a darker colour. Photos were sent to me which did not reflect well the true colour. When I arrived I asked Florstore to fix this error. They agreed to do it but only if I paid a significant amount more to have this done. A new colour was chosen. When Florstore arrived again I noted that, again, the colour did not match the existing floor boards. They confirmed that the samples do not reflect the true colour. I decided there was no point in replacing the existing boards if the colour would still not match and requested a refund. They have refused to refund my second payment and acknowledge no fault in selecting the wrong colour in the first place. Although they are quick and efficient, I cannot recommend this company due to their poor dispute resolution process and derogatory attitude to myself. They ask for 100% payment up front and have a clause that says you can’t cancel an order. I would be very careful of using this company in case something goes wrong. Unfortunately, Property Management Solutions, that was paid to oversee the job, is also claiming no responsibility.
