How can an airline get away with not refunding so many clients?

They are running their company on money they were paid for a service which was not rendered.

The Fly Blue Crane social media is littered with case after case of so many people whom have not received refunds.

How can this be allowed to continue?

Fly Blue Crane cancelled our flight with very little time to spare in order to get new tickets. We were arriving from Europe with two toddlers. No alternatives were given to us. Only a rather abrupt cancellation.

New tickets then had to be purchased with another airline and were very expensive given the short timeframe before the flight.

We could have bought international tickets for the the combination of the Fly Blue Crane flight and the new local flights!

As a result a huge portion of our budget suddenly evaporated and the impact it has on us as a family reached much further that I care to explain. Great start to our visit to South Africa.

Fly Blue Crane was emailed 12 times about this and called well over 10 times with a different lie every time: "The lady dealing with refunds is on leave" etc.

It has now been 6 months.

If Fly Blue Crane cannot supply a service they should not be allowed to trade anymore.

By all accounts given online this seems to happen extremely often. How can this crime continue?

This is also harms the tourist industry and reflects badly on South Africa as a whole.
