<div>I arrived at the hotel at 10pm on the 14th of October for the Cape Town marathon. I was checked in and given a room. The room I was given was dirty ,somebody had been sitting and having tea in the room and left a mess there (where’s the covid protocol and guest safety concern?) ,it was a non smoking room yet the room was stinking of cigarette smoke,being a non smoker this was unbearable. I went down and waited for them to check if they had a clean room,just imagine they had to send someone to check and make sure because they themselves were unsure of their standards. I was unhappy with this room as well and asked for a refund. I was promised I would get my refund the next day and so I found alternate Accomodation Which I obviously also had to pay for. Many phone calls and emails later,I’m still begging for my money back!!! The people with any authority in this hotel don’t care and getting hold of anyone there is a nightmare. I was on a tight budget and in fact had to borrow money to pull me through to payday just because of this hotel’s incompetence and no care attitude. R2100 is a lot of money to throw away and I cannot affords that. The GM lied to me about getting refund done,however with some delay. Forward 6weeks later and I’m still waiting. My emails have been blocked and when I call,**** is never available.</div>
