I’m extremely disappointed. My kids and I were stuck in an elevator at Fourways Mall for 1 hour 30 minutes. Their supplier, OTIS, couldn’t get a technician there in time because they were “coming from far.” How does a major mall — or OTIS — not have a technician nearby for emergencies like this? Unacceptable. On top of everything, we made several calls to the emergency number inside the elevator, and the centre kept promising to call us back — they never did. I ended up calling them to check on the technician’s progress.
This is not how safety emergencies should be handled
