Bought a kitchen sink in August 2024, the sink recently started chapping. I made contact with the company cause the sink is still within warranty. I was told that based on the location of chip does not fall under warranty which I find unfair. I would advise people to think twice and not to trust this brand they are not honest to their customers. I have the proof of full purchase, but they want to give me discount on a replacement. Why are they not giving me a full refund for their product. For the fact that they are giving me a discount it means they are accepting responsibility for the damage.

I purchased a black Franke sink which has discolored and become white. Its very obvious that Franke will look for every excuse and argument not to take responsibility for this inferior product. I was told to use Franke Inox Cream which I have been doing, I was advised that I could use the Granite Cleaning Spray – this is after all a Granite Sink!!!!!!! Hard water and minerals in the water can leave white stains on your sink. The best way to remove these stains is with a hard water stain remover such as Lime-Away or CLR. You can do this once every 1 or 2 months. How can a superior product stain from water and minerals, and a black sink turn white!!!!!!! Franke is not the product to buy as their sinks are not only inferior, but Franke will look for every excuse. Franke contradicts themselves about the durable material which is in fact completely the opposite!!!! HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR SINK • The basis is frequent and regular cleaning of the sink. Even if it is not thorough, regular cleaning is more appropriate than just occasional thorough cleaning of the sink. The best maintenance of the sink is frequent washing of dishes. With a granite sink, common liquids, creams, pastes and dry powders can be used for regular maintenance. I have done this • The perfect appearance of your sink can be affected by water quality. In areas with hard water, gray or otherwise colored stains may appear on the sink. These are really just layers of water deposits or minerals that commonly occur in hard water areas. These minerals then easily absorb substances that leave stains, such as tea, coffee, red wine, foods with high color ***mentation, etc., thus spoiling the appearance of your sink. Therefore, you should wash and dry the sink after each use. If deposits remain on your sink, use a descaling agent (not a waste cleaner). You can also use a mixture of one part vinegar and three parts water, leave on for several hours, preferably overnight. Then thoroughly remove the residue with a sponge and sink cleaner. I have done this • Use a soft cloth or sponge and dishwashing liquid to remove daily traces of using the sink. Use a sponge and active cleaner to remove remaining stains. I have done this • If stains are very difficult to remove, especially recommended for light-colored sinks, fill the sink with a mixture made up of 40 parts water and 1 part bleach (eg laundry stain remover) or biological detergent and leave on overnight. Then drain the sink and rinse thoroughly. This method is definitely not intended for daily cleaning of the sink. In case of prolonged neglect of maintenance and subsequent graying, yellowing of the bottom of the sink (limescale deposition), descaling is a longer-term matter. • Your sink is made of an extremely durable material. Be careful, if you move metal pots and pans over its surface, they may leave metal marks. However, they are only on the surface of the sink and you can remove them in a circular motion with the rough side of the sponge and a sink cleaner. How does extremely durable material get damaged by pots • Try to avoid dropping sharp objects into the sink, which can chip or damage the surface. WHAT TO AVOID • Always avoid the use of metal cleaning sponges and scouring pads, as their metal parts stick to the surface of the sink. Do not leave steel and cast iron kitchen utensils on the surface of the sink for a long time. However, if there are stains on the surface, you can remove them with a sponge and sink cleaner. • Do not leave plastic sink pads, damp cleaning sponges and cloths in the sink overnight, as they retain water underneath and inside each other, as a layer of limescale may form on the surface of the sink. No other sink does this, so how durable and superior is this product. In fact its completely inferior. I am really just going to deal with this via social media and leave it at that as the public needs to be made aware. When it comes to Cobra and Hans Grohe, Franke cannot even compete on any level!!!!

Franke Stainless Steel Wash Trough has started to rust and crack at the seams. Purchased this 1 year 3 months ago and it's already giving up. This was trough has hardly been used hence me noticing it now. Nonetheless, contacted Franke and they advised that it's not for COASTAL USE OUTSIDE. There should be some sort of sticker on the item advising customers of such. The Franke geysers are no better, all 4 Franke geysers of mine have already failed.

Shame on Franke for making their retailers charge R150 for a new washer on a pushdown sink plug. I found one which fitted perfectly without any adjustment at all at the China family store in Westville for R6. What a ripoff by Franke.

@franke_sa Franke has gotten back to me after more than 2 months of complaining. They said they will not do anything about the staining on my Fragranite sink. They claim that they do not have any guarantee for staining even if its water stains so the 12 year guarantee for staining which they claim they have when you purchase is all a big lie. Do not be fooled. Please do not buy their Fragranite sinks as its a fortune and you will ever regret it. Its a terrible product. Please beware when buying. Rather opt for a Blanco which is far better. I hope this message travels far and wide as many others have also suffered like we did. I have also seen many Bad reviews on Hello Peter which i wish i had seen before purchasing the sink. 0 stars.

Franke geyser replaced in 2019 under warranty, with a new geyser with a 5 year warranty. Now 3 years later the geyser has cracked again. Franke refusing to reimburse stating that the geyser is only under guarantee from the 1st geyser installation date. How do you replace a geyser and then says it falls under the previous, broken geysers guarantee date?? I will report this to ombudsman
