Unfriendly Cashier Ruined My Experience Fruit Stop GEZINA
I am very disappointed with the service I received at Fruit Stop Gezina . I am a regular customer and the level of service I experienced recently was not what I have come to expect from this store. The cashier who assisted me was extremely unfriendly. She did not greet me at all, and when it was time to pay, instead of speaking to me or giving basic instructions, she simply pointed at the card machine. It felt dismissive and quite insulting. Basic courtesy like greeting customers and communicating politely should be standard in any customer-facing role. This interaction made me feel unwelcome, which is disappointing because I have always had pleasant experiences at Fruit Stop before. I hope management addresses this because customer service plays a big role in whether people want to return.

Fruit Stop Gezina, worst take away shop staff every. Including the rude unprofessional manager. They won't see me again. Zero stars. Johnny the owner couldn't even call me back to find out if the problem was resolved. He doesn't care, making too much money I guess.

Not a review but a proposal / request, we are in need of establishment in our area
I hope this message reaches the appropriate decision-makers. I would like to propose the establishment of a Fruit Stop store in Centurion East. After conducting some research, I have found that there are currently no Fruit Stop locations in Centurion. The closest competitor is Food *****s Market, situated on the opposite side of Centurion West. There is a well-positioned and ample space next to the newly opened Leroy Merlin in Centurion East that would be ideal for this purpose. I believe the market potential in this area is strong, and such a store would perform exceptionally well. Additionally, Centurion is underserved in terms of butcheries. Existing butcheries in the surrounding areas tend to be priced higher, limiting competition and opportunity. This presents a promising advantage for your business. Please consider this as a formal request on behalf of the residents in the area who would greatly appreciate the convenience and quality your store would bring. Inappropriate conduct towards a minor
Yesterday was the 30th April 2025 at around 10am, my 14 year old daughter was proposed to and asked for her number by a much older Fruitstop employee. She told me that this made her incredibly scared and uncomfortable as this is a grown man saying these inappropriate things to her. I then went inside to go look for the man who she described. He denied it at first when infront of his colleagues. However when I went back into the car to go call my daughter to identify him, he said “sorry” and admitted that he did indeed do that. I have details of the truck that he was driving to do his delivery. He is indeed a fruitstop employee as he was wearing the fruitstop uniform. This situation should be dealt with with the greatest of urgency as this is a grown man proposing love and asking for a number of a MINOR. Who knows how many other minors he hasn’t done the same to? This absolutely cannot be left like this and if Fruitstop does nothing, I will have no choice but to take necessary steps.

Bad Service
On Monday the 27th of January I bought a nuggets, fillets etc combo on Thursday my daughter started complaining that the nuggets were not tasting good,on Friday night I realised that they were all rotten.On Saturday my wife called the store(Wonderboom)and spoke to a guy (she forgot the name)who said we can bring them back because we always buy them every month.My issue is they can't help me without the invoice even when I tell them the time and date to check the footage so that they can see me purchase the product,yet they still refused to help me yesterday (Sunday) I left those rotten stock with them.Im so disappointed after buying so many times yet I can't be helped

Bad Service

Disgusting attitude at Gezina
When there to buy fruits and when I was about to pay there was a til with no customer when I approached the til she does not even greet and not friendly after ringing my stuff I tell her want to pay with two cards then I realized I still be short 20 or something less don't remember exact amount she start being impatient asking why and she calls someone doesn't explain to me that the til cab only accept two payments she speaks with the lady in Afrikaans as though I'm not there and gets frustrated with pc and the lady kindly explain that they can only accept two payments and I transferred money made second payment and the lady apologize but it's unfortunate that she is the one apologizing yet the rude cashier wasn't, she should learn to be polite and friendly especially cause she works with people through out day her attitude totally disgusting

Bad bad quality products and service
Fruit stop Gezina. Icecream and take away. Your icecream machine is not working properly and frozen yougurt machine broken for days now. Just got 2 milkshakes and i am very dissapointed and highly discused in the poor products i have beenn recieving the last couple of times i waisted my money there I could of just get a box of milk and drink that up and say its a milkshake. Same thing. Very dissapointed in your manager. Doesn't come out to check or see what is happening to the machines. When i ask to call they simply give me lots of stories of why the manager cannnot be called The staff is not smilling anymore and if you ask why. They say its because of the "New Manager". Fruit stop owners must please reconsider the icecream and frozen yogurt section.

We always look forward to a trip to Fruit Stop in Wonderboom. They are always clean and neat, well stocked with high quality affordable fresh vegetables and cash back benefits. They have very good customer service and staff are always friendly and helpful
