On the 23rd of December 2017, I bought items from Full Throttle to the value exceeding R10 000. One of the items was a Alpine Star Andes V2 Drystar Waterproof jacket.
I was aware of the fact that it is a Christmas special and that the shop does not have my size. I requested that they order a XXL for me to fit and the sales person advised that I would only have my jacket early January 2018. I insisted that I would start work in Johannesburg on the 8th of January 2018 and thus requested to have the jacket before the 8th.
As the new year started, I went back to the shop as I have had no response from them. They then informed me that the suppliers where not opened yet and that they would only be open for orders from the 12th of January 2018. On the 15th of January 2018 I followed up with the shop and they indicated that they have ordered a jacket and that it would be here early February 2018.
As early February came, I again followed up with the store and they said that the jacket had arrived. I then went to the store to fit the jacket, only to find that they have ordered a XL, instead of a XXL. The jacket did not fit over my sholders and they then said that they would order a XXL. Upon later follow up (again from my side), the sales person indicated that the jacket would be here mid March.
On the 15th of March 2018 I followed up again and the sales person said that the jacket has not arrived. I asked to speak to a manager, in order to get more clarification on the situation. The manager then indicated to me that the suppliers take up to 3 months to get stock. I asked if I could please have my money back as I do not have my product, nor my money and this is three months later.
The manager indicated that they do not do any refunds. I am aware of this face as I have also returned a product to Full Throttle before and have accepted a gift card in return.
According to me, this situation is much different as I have not left the store with an item and then wanting to return it for a full refund. I have only left the store with no product and an empty wallet.
Now all I am asking for is to have a full refund and the store is refusing it.
