Rude personnel & *************
Make sure you get everything in writing from them. ************* staff not even the Management bother to try and resolve the problem. They just ignore the emails. They agree on the terms on the phone and I followed it up on the same day with an email. When it comes to the payment they change their story and you get the surprise on the bill. When you query it they say you are a **** and that they never misinformed you. Will not apologize for their mistake or refund the incorrect amount I was charged. Will never recommend or go there again.

Gabbata Lodge
We went to eat there on a sunday.They serve buffet.The atmosphere is nice.The vibe is nice.There is soft music playing in the background.There Is a gas firepit burning that keeps the place cosy.The owner is walking from table to table making sure everyone is happy

Pathetic service and false advertising
I requested a quote for R531 for two people per night. Initially I booked for one person when I changed the booking to two people she doubled the price. Thereafter she was extremely rude and told us to call LekkeSlaap directly. They weren't able to assist. I screenshot the advert and now they've changed the advert after the argument. I've got both screenshots on my phone. The service was extremely bad and false advertising on LekkeSlaap

I was not informed that there would be an event on the premises the evening that I booked in- loud music played right outside my door until late (I was in room 9- the grass area is in front of the door). No room service- as a single person I had to walk to the restaurant and sit there alone to eat. No fridge or milk for coffee in the morning. Over R1 000 for a room? Ridiculous. Would not recommend this place.

Bad services
We made a booking with them and now we are unhappy with the services because of the way they treating us and decided to cancel our booking with them a week before. We are not aware of any cancellation policy hence why we cancelled with them. We are now told that we are supposed to assume that coz we made our first booking through booking.com the same terms and conditions apply with them. The manager and the admin lady even walked out on us while we were busy talking to them. Sad service from them as the manager herself doesn't know the cancellation policy.

Our Child's Baptism
<p>We were very lucky and blessed to have had the opportunity to host a big family function at Gabbata. It was a 3 in one function. Both my daughter and my sister's sons baptism was planned to be held as a gift to our father on his 60th birthday which happened to be on Mother's Day. So you can imagine how important this function was to us. I had searched for many venues and was not very hopeful of Gabbata when I first drove in. But to my surprise the place was amazing. At first sight I liked it. Then to top it off, it was available at a very reasonable price, and the people of Gabbata were very nice and helpful and even agreed to a self catering function. I booked the venue without consulting anyone else in my family as I was sure they would love it too. From here on, Planning and organizing was a breeze. They gave us access to the beautiful chapel and the hall the day before. They had the table decorations done on time and they did more than was first agreed on. We always felt they were ready to help in any situation. They have a beautiful reception hall with top class amenities, with great scenery. On the morning of the function when I drove in, I had bucks and a wildebeest roaming around. It was great. Beautiful to take photographs. I had 140 guests and all of them loved the venue. They also have a restaurant which serve great food and has good ambience with kids play area and apparently rooms to stay in as well. All in all, an excellent place with good people, ideal for any function, especially if you want a successful function. Also great for a Sunday lunch. THANK YOU GABBATA FOR EVERYTHING!!!! </p>
