Good Day, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent experience. I had booked and paid in advance for accommodation at Garden Court Hatfield, and my company had already settled the payment. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the hotel was overbooked and that I should instead move to StayEasy — a hotel with a noticeably lower rating than Garden Court. I was told that attempts were made to call me, yet I have no missed calls. Regardless, the fact remains that I had booked and paid ahead of time specifically to stay at Garden Court. I expected my reservation to be honoured. I was offered the shuttle to another hotel back and forth and the Manager offered to settle but dinner which I am thankful for but still that does not erase the wrongdoing that the Southern sun has committed. This experience was shocking and extremely upsetting. I would not wish such an inconvenience on anyone. Me and my family went to Garden Court HATFIELD on CHRISTMAS DAY 25/12/24 WOW wonderful service lunch excellent WANDA & CHARLOTTE & KWAKHO excellent professional i will surely go back the gate MALUME that worked on xmas he is friendly and helpful Well done Garden Court !!!!! I am making sure i recommend your via word of mouth. :-)

I had a nasty experience with Garden Court Hatfield in two weeks, first was the Reception staff who did not pay attention to a guest, they responded to me not even looking at me but looking at their keyboards, I called them to order however, the male attendant continued going through folders on the desk still not paying attention to what I'm saying. The following week I had meeting with my associates at the same venue, when driving in, coming to their boomgate, I found the boom upright (opened), I drove through but just as I drive the boom closed, hitting my vehicle on the windscreen and mind you, the boom has spikes on the floor, my left front tyre was punctured and I laid a claim but was told there's nothing they can do because there is a disclaimer. I'm disappointed that this is the business operation of Southern Sun. Secondly, there is no warning sign that says, 'If boom is upright (open), stop and wait for the boom to close'. Why have spikes at entrance boomgate ? You cannot let innocent customers incur damages to their vehicles only to tell them there is a disclaimer. Management must put a visible sign as I suggested above to warn innocent drivers because apparently their boom resets or reboots at certain times on it own but the Manager will not admit to that.

I have visited Garden Court Hatfield several times and the hotel staff at this establishment makes me feel at home every time when I'm in Pretoria. This makes my first choice of accommodation in this city. Tonight (03 August 2021) the Chef made my day. Thought the day I had a difficult day but Ms Nancy Maleka made sure I feel at home, she prepared aside vergies those being served had mushroom since I'm allergic I could not eat mushroom. Ngiya bonga ma!

I have visited Garden Court Hatfield several times and the hotel staff at this establishment makes me feel at home every time when I'm in Pretoria. I made an online booking on Saturday the 30th and paid electronically but I received an email stating that there was a technical error and funds will be returned to my account within 72 hrs max. I have since not received my money back and attempts to contact the hotel went cold as I was sent from pillar to post.
