I would like to lodge a complaint against David Huni and the Naomi gallery who were the organizers of the Christmas Brilliance and Market (Garden of Lights) event which took place in Stellenbosch last weekend, 15-17 November 2019 at the Jan Marais Nature Reserve. I would like to report them for fraud, endangerment and organized theft. The entire event was a scam and a money making racket. The organizers need to be held accountable for stealing from innocent and unsuspecting public who have fallen victim to a marketing con. I am so incredibly disappointed and angry and I feel robbed by this despicable event. I am utterly appalled. This event was an expensive waste of valuable family time and money. My partner and I bought early bird tickets to attend the Christmas Brilliance Market in Stellenbosch with his granddaughter as a treat. Despite having bought our tickets online we queued in excess of an hour to get into the venue itself, and then spent over another hour in a queue to enter the garden whilst being squashed among the hoards of people in attendance. The queues for the food vendors were no better and just as unpleasantly long - these long queues had a waiting time of over an hour as well; all for overpriced and unappetizing food vendors. It was an exceptionally horrible experience having dust kicked up in one's face and eyes with all the people shoving in the queues. In addition, it was a health and safety hazard. It was unsafe. The event was held in poorly lit conditions. There were inadequate ablution facilities. It was abundantly clear to me that the venue itself was in fact unable to accommodate the amount of people in attendance. The venue was clearly not suitable and had there been an emergency or a stampede, people would have been severely injured or worse. I am extremely dissatisfied, because after all the waiting, we did not get to see a single light. his event was poorly planned and executed. II feel that this entire exercise was a complete waste of time and money. The fact that we could not even get into the actual show venue, in my mind, is entirely unacceptable. I have emailed the email address listed on the events website to no avail - I have received no response to date regarding my request for a refund. I have also tried to call the two numbers listed on the social media page and have since been blocked after raising the above mentioned issues. Any and all negative feedback was deleted off their Facebook profile. I would like to point out that these specific organizers, David Huni and the Naomi gallery, have a track record of several disastrous events in the past and the consensus from countless bad reviews on social media as well as hellopeter.com is that they change the names of the event each time but the events are disasters anyways. They operate purely on a slick, fake social media marketing campaign, which is frankly, a lie.

This was utterly the most disappointing experience. Not worth any ratings. I've never been to an event this badly organised and nothing near to what was advertised and expected. My husband and 2 children (10 & 7) had to leave after waiting in a single food queue for over 2.5 hours, which is unacceptable. We ended up leaving to get something at a nearby restaurant, returning to the event around 8:45. There again the queues were still hours long. Anyone whoever wants to attend an event organised by Davi Huni is seriously advised not to as it's guaranteed to be a mistake, a horrendous experience and a serious waste of money.

For allowing David Huni to rip off thousands of Capetonians and put the lives of children at risk. The Festival of lights at Jan Marais park was a disgrace. No lights, not enough toilets, no access to water, one cooldrink vendor, lack of security and marshals, false advertising of light show, etc. The list just goes on..........

Don't Ever ever go to this event or any event organised by Davi Huni. His track record speaks for itself. He is in it for a quick buck by giving a watered down cheap show. Howler terminated their contract with Huni. Miid terminated their contract with Huni SANBI terminated their contract with Huni SANBI also took the decision not to enter into a venue hire agreement with Huni for the Giant Creature World Expo event scheduled to take place between 30 August and 8 September 2019. Christmas in July was a disaster show and was cancelled Dino Expo shut down in PE How many more are there????? Stay away!

I wish I could rate it zero stars. We didn't even make it inside, after standing in line for an hour (even though we purchased tickets online ahead of time) we were still no where near the front. People coming out were saying that there isn't enough food stalls and no way to get to the few stalls there are as there are too many people. And not much in the way of Christmas lights! We drove from CT to Stellenbosch after work on Friday, we were thirsty and hungry at this point, we went to investigate the front of the queue and it looked like once you were inside there was simply another queue. This was such a blatant rip-off, overselling tickets, lying about whats on offer and no organisation. It was the Fyre festival of Christmas markets. Shameful.

It was pathetic, by far the most unorganized event. What was advertised is nothing compared to what we experienced. Long queues, no control of crowds going in or out. Myself, husband and 3 and a half year old son had to wait for almost an hour just to go in to see the lights. Disgusting to say in the least. Not to mention ripping people off with ridiculous prices.E.g. R30 for Candy Floss, where I get it for R10 at a shop. What the heck, the organiser of the event should be where he is. Because clearly he cannot do his job
