Clicks Gateway shopping mall with poor management and unprofessional staff. I filed a complaint regarding the chairs that they had lying all over the sales floor after i had addressed it to the manager who did nit do anything about not even to instruct his staff to remove the chairs. As i was shopping at clicks i was then knocked by a chair that made my leg swollen and was limping. I then made the manager aware about it and he had no care in the world. I then filled a complaint through their complaints page, from that tome i have been sending emails for feedback/ follow up on the complaints but no one seemed to care to atleast give me a call even after i had given them my contact details and the time to contact me… manager is very slow and unprofessional the service is terrible

To PEP Customer Service / Management, I am writing this email in extreme anger and disappointment regarding the shocking and unacceptable service I received at PEP Cell, Gateway Mall on 23 December 2025 at approximately 16:05. On 20 December 2025, I purchased two devices from PEP Cell Durban (Store 4702) for my son and my sister. The only reason I bought these devices was so they could connect to Wi-Fi to watch YouTube and stream content. Both devices fail to connect to Wi-Fi, which makes them completely useless to me. I went to the Gateway Mall PEP Cell store to return the devices. The devices are not damaged, still in their original boxes, with all accessories and the original till slip, and the return is within the 7-day return period. Instead of helping me, I was treated disrespectfully and unfairly. After explaining the problem, the manager told me they could not assist because the store does not have Wi-Fi to test the devices. I was then told—in a very rude manner—that I must bring my home fibre router to the store so they can test the phone. This request is absolutely ridiculous, unreasonable, and unacceptable. I made it very clear that the devices do not suit my needs, yet I was still refused a return. I was told it is not their problem, and that I must drive all the way back to Durban Central, which is far from where I live, because staff at the original store “did not explain properly.” To make matters worse, the manager spoke to me loudly and disrespectfully in front of other customers, causing me serious embarrassment. Customers were staring because of how loudly and aggressively she spoke to me. This behavior is unprofessional and humiliating. When I asked to speak to someone senior, I was told she is the highest person available and that I must call customer service myself. This is completely unacceptable for a paying customer who is simply asking for help within policy. This was disgusting, embarrassing, and shocking customer service. I have never been treated this poorly in my life. I am demanding the following: An immediate return and full refund for both devices. A formal investigation into the behavior of the Gateway Mall PEP Cell staff and management. Urgent feedback on how this situation will be resolved. PEP has completely failed me as a customer. I was there on Saturday the 3rd of may to buy flops(slides) i found them wit lot of dust which i nicely asked a guy called Onwa to clean them for jst so i cn pay, he told me straight to my eyes dat why dnt i take them like dat of which i refused nd he took them nd wiped the wit hand andy nd stil the wher nt clean bt cz i wanted them nd it was the only size i had to take them like dat, as for the cashier her attitude was very bad her name is luyanda, i hope dat those ppl should get a proper lesson of hw to deal wit a customer nd thy shudnt b rude on us.

I bought 6x R800 Gateway Shopping Mall vouchers from the info desk at the mall. They were all Christmas gifts and were wrapped that day. Some of them were only actually received as gifts in Feb as my siblings had been traveling over Christmas. The same day that I gave the voucher to my brother he opened the wrapped card and we went to Gateway. He tried to swipe it and was told there wasn’t any money on it so we went to the info desk to figure out what was going on. We were told the card had been used at various stores in Gateway and outside of Gateway. As I’d watched him unwrap the gift in front of me, I was certain this was not actually the case. The staff at the info desk seemed equally confused and called their supervisor. The supervisor made a half hearted attempt at looking into it and then imp**** that perhaps people in our home had opened the gift, taken the card, spent it in various stores (seemingly in areas very far from where we live), and then returned the card and rewrapped it. Strangely the amounts on the card’s records were oddly exact - specifically the R500.00 on the dot at Checkers seemed a bit off… Unfortunately we got nowhere in the end with the supervisor and I’ve not heard back although the original interactions didn’t give me the impression she was particularly taken aback and perhaps had heard the same story from others before….

very bad service, they don't want to refund me, instead they forced me to buy something else or take gift card, since I didn't bring the card that was used for the purchase, my partner who stays in jhn used his card to make the payment, now the jeans aren't fitting well, they took them with the slip and forced me to take gift card, the lady said she's the area manager, phoned speaking rude that it's their policy, I'm never buying again in that shop.
