Gauteng Couches has left commuters stranded yesterday afternoon after an instruction was given to the bus driver to woodmead number 2040 which is a last one for the day to go fetch other passengers from Lawley.
This has sparked frustration as commuters were forced to borrow cash to use alternative transportation and requests for lifts which is truly unfair and unnecessary. Most had to stay behind and keep on waiting for a spare bus that was sent out.
Mike who is a instructor was contacted and advised about the matter and all he could say was there was a breakdown, however, that didn't give him a right to endanger people's lives as he had an option to get the first bus to do the rounds.
The fact that there was no representative to advise of what was happening was totally disrespectful and belittling to the commuters of Orange Farm, Sebokeng, etc. These are the same people that are loyal customers for years and use the service.
The management must find better ways to deal with such chaos in future, it would be much appreciated if all the affected commuters can be compansated for the inconvenience caused.
We can no longer stand and watch when our people are being disrespected like this, because this company is where it is because of them.
