It's the school opening today, both my children are not allocated space in Gauteng. One should be starting grade 8 and one is staring grade 1, I followed the registration process and it failed. The department want us to accept schools that are performing poor and have crime. Their logic is that we don't have a choice. I am a frustrated parent I have no idea why the department continue with this system knowing very well that every year it fails.

What a very bad and in-human treatment from the school Principal as I'm writing this complaint I'm so furious with the ill-treatment i received from the Principal of Jules High School Mr Sibiya, yesterday day was a closing date for submitting school exemption forms. When i arrived in the gate i was denied access by the security alerting me they no longer accept forms as the principal's guidance that they have cut at 10:00 parents must read it's written at the bottom of the form, if which that is a big lie no time that is written only to be instructed to put the form with the accompanying documents in a sealed envelope nothing about time. I arrived at school at 12:57 office staff and teachers were still inside. I decided to wait for the principal so that i show him the is nothing that states the closing time, when he came out at 14:28 driving his car with the secretary in it i waved my hand he drove his car passing by. So i noticed Ms Moloyi was still inside i wait for her more than 40 minutes in a rain when she comes i explained she called the principal his response was" I saw her i internationally left her she knows the cut of time" i rep**** the is no due time written only bring instructed where to put our form's and documents in a sealed envelope. He told Ms Moloyi she doesn't deal with the forms office is closed yet parents were returned while office staff were in until they close, can the department please intervine yhuu in the matter and they even send parents to departments where you will be told we don't do that because they want parents not to apply for the exemption if it has to the Ministry must look upon this, where is the right of education if the principal oppress that right?

Online registration is a mess. They placed my child for grade 8 at a school that has no corresponding subjects. We only learnt this in the morning when we went to register the child the school. The school advised that they cannot help we just go back to the district office. This is so ***********, why are they not checking and verifying subjects before they place children. They must let off of this system and allow schools to do registration on their own. If they were clever they were supposed to gazette rules of what they wanted to achieve with this system.Thereafter go around the school to check compliance and enforce where the s hool is not complying. Now they want to be a referree and player at the same time. They don't trust their own processes, if they do, as a regulator is to allow schools to manage registration and all they do is monitoring. They know that they can't regulate the industry hence they took over registration process from the schools.

The online system is absolute hell. You apply online and on time for grade 1 and 8 but you still find yourself without a school for your child and you still have the inconvenience of quing and also going to the district in order for your child to be placed and they end up placing her in a ****py school. This needs to change ASAP!

The tone of the communication Mr. Mfundu Mehlo sent to the Grade 11 leaners at The Hill High is concerning. I think he is in the wrong profession, he is not supposed to be an Educator. The text is in my possession

I like to convey my gratitude to the Department of Education in the Johannesburg District for the outstanding job on assisting our child who need a special need support to study. They handled our case with diligent despite us parents reporting our case a bit late. Our son will be allocated a space in 3 weeks to come after compiling the educational assessment report. There had been some negative opinions from various people that, it takes too long (almost two years) to get a child allocated a school by the department. Their service in the office was outstanding, making sure that we are attended on time and as per our need.. big up to the team in Braamfontein. corner Jorissen Street and Biccard street.

I am writing this review for the absolute shocking way in which my Sister - Esme Schultze's Early Pension process have been administered. Several times documents have been submitted, often documents are lost and there is simply just no progress whatsoever. In the mean time she has not received her pension in three months and accordingly could not pay her medical aid bills. As luck would have it her husband fell ill in this period. Simply appalling how this matter has been treated. In the meantime the Gauteng West Pension Fund and the Administrators are giving each other the corporate salute for I don't know what. I plan to assist my sister by taking legal action in November 2022. In this process I hope heads will roll but doubt it as the incompetency is just simply unbelievable.
