11 Nov 2022, 11:12Tyrone Henning, I am trying very hard to understand why you have chosen to follow a deliberate path of a public smear campaign. I have not done anything unethical or otherwise. It would have been far better to sit and discuss this together with all parties but, you chose this platform to try and further damage my flawless reputation of 32 years. Let us put this into perspective, you have been a victim of a fraud crime. I offered to pay the Landlord back the wasted commission. He is simply doing a reconciliation of your account. You did not pay rent for the 6th month. The contract does state that you cannot use the deposit in lieu of rent. The deposit was stolen. Neither the Landlord nor Gaye Cawood Realty have that money. It is absolutely awful but not in my control and I don't understand why you are attacking my integrity over this. I went to great lengths to try and assist on this but, it was made clear to me and, I did tell you, that it was not my problem to solve as I was not the victim of the crime. I am seriously considering removing my offer to pay for wasted commission as per the rental agreement if this is how you are behaving on the public domain.
Furthermore, in reference to your purchase, you bought a home for a very good price so that you had spare money to do the refurbishment. Gaye Cawood Realty dropped their commission to 3.1%, saving the Hennings R112 000 on the price. This was in my opinion very generous on our part. So, your second lower offer effectively was paid from our commission. The owner had a cut off minimum amount and we took the knock on our commission to secure the property for you.
The first thing you did on transfer was move the swimming pool, your choice. The swimming pool marbelite note was declared in the condition report, it clearly stated that it needed re-marbeliting. Who was not disclosing something here? You inspected the property and were happy with the condition thereof. The property is 18 years old and it had been well maintained. To pass a comment on defects not disclosed is untrue and not professional.
In response to the assumption that I knew about the soccer games at the Auto and General building every afternoon, I did not know. When they built the office block many years ago they held a few parties when they moved in. This stopped shortly thereafter. I live on the other side of the estate, you lived next door in your rental, I definitely never heard this "noise". I do hear the school noise next door as I am close to that, including hockey matches going on into the night. I tolerate it, like everyone else. We cannot control what is over the wall and outside of our estate. You can see the office building clearly from your home, although it is very well screened with trees now. I take exception to being called unethical for not declaring something that I honestly did not know about.
In fact, you have been very scathing in your entire approach and I have done absolutely nothing to warrant this kind of attack. I really urge you to stop this defamation path.
