Gauteng Department of Education should just stop with this thing of thinking they know whats best for us, more especially when it comes to schools that we want for our children. Nothing is as bad as having your child being placed at the very same poor performing school that YOU as a parent have tried to avoid. My child started school already at a school where English is a medium of communication, yet No, for next year she was entirely removed by the very same GDE system and one is told via SMS that the supposedly school that we app**** for the child was placed there, when i for one know that the very same school was not even part of my selection in the first place, whats the use of putting ones trust in a system that will change the choices we have as the GDE thinks they know whats best for us. We live locally, we know the struggles of the very same local schools that have failed us as, now to subject our kids to walk down the very same memory lane is just jaw dropping, we have means to have our kids travel to schools that we want and wish for them to attend, we have money to ensure they attend those "school fees paying schools" we are not going to be derailed by the stupid system that wants us to even reduce the dreams we have for our children, its either the system s****ped off, how do you even begin to comprehend the situation of long queue at District offices lately of disgruntled parents, when we line up and still not to receive any help or whatsoever, we have lost hope in the Education system, its just a total flop
