We bought a kitchen unit in January at Gem furnishers Potchefstroom. They needed to come and assemble it. So they did come and assemble it, but they did half the job and they told us that they will come back to finish everything because they didn't have the right *****s. Until to date ( 12.03.2026), we haven't received any help from them. I have been calling almost every day. The white lady called Alida, it's very rude, very, very rude. When you call, she shouts at you. She drops a call while you are in a conversation with her. She's very unprofessional and ******. So I don't know how to deal with this matter because they are not even promising to come to address the issue at hand, yet they are debiting the installment money every month. I need someone to help me connect with the owner of Gem Furnisher Potchefstroom store or the head office please.

I went there(Rustenburg branch) to apply for a credit, they said i should pay deposit fee after paying i was told that i do not qualify. The lady that works there took my receipt and promised to pay back my money after 7days, now they are saying that they want a receipt I tried to explain that it was taken by the sales lady but i do have proof of payment on my bank statement but they are refusing to pay back my money

This shop has the worst customer service. So in october 2023 my father, a pensioner, bought a R36000,00 lounge suite at Gems Zeerust. He liked the set as it had recliners seats which he needed to rest his feet while watching tv. The set was delivered but three months later the mechanism for reclining in one of the couches broke and the seat could not recline anymore. We reported at the branch and were told it will be attended in the next week. Today is 15/01/2025 and yet again we went to the shop to ask whats the problem as they never contact us unless we go and ask, a guy called Kagiso **** yet again and refused to give contacts of their head office. We regret buying for so much money only to be given inferior quality furniture. No inspection has even been carried as we are repeatedly told they will come.

This shop has the worst customer service. So in october 2023 my father, a pensioner, bought a R36000,00 lounge suite at Gems Zeerust. I'm rating Gem a 1 if I could add a review without rating them I would. I bought from Gem back in July 2023 and missed a few payments Gem then went to my home to harass people who have no relation to my account with them in anyway shape or form. They went into the house and repossessed the goods without any signatures without the creditor being present or consenting and even went as far as contravention the POPI Act and discussed my account and the content of my account with the neighbor showing her when last did I pay and how many months in arrears I am. To top it all up I did not even receive a call from their head office or my salesman or the manager just to let me know that their rude drivers are coming to repo at my house. The service at Gem Furniture Potchefstroom under the inept leadership of Bernadette Kruger is a total and utter disgrace to say the least.

I bought a tv at Gem furnitures polokwane on the 22 January 2024 for R14 000 on account . I paid a deposit of R1500..Tv was delivered following day when i was at work ,and it wasn't tested . I got myself a technician to come and unseal it from the box following day and the tv was not working ..I called the store and reported the matter, they advised i bring it back of which i did on my own cost . The store manager is rude, refusing to refund me or replace the tv .Now i have to pay R14000 for the tv i do not have. My mother (Elisa Modise) bought bed at gem furniture at Schweizer-Reneke cash, she was promised the bed will be delivered later that day (19 December 2022) by the sales lady. On the 23rd we went to check at the store as why the bed was not delivered as promised and we were told that they saw something wrong with the bed and they are waiting for it from Klerkdorp. On the 28th of December the bed was delivered and only to find out the it was not one that sold to my mother, we went back to the shop on the 29th to find out why and we welcomed with a sales lady who told us way to get off and screaming at my mother. The sales lady said they must refund us and we agreed because they sold us the wrong bed, everything was done on the 29th of December 2022 and the manager told my mom her money will be transferred to my mom's account within 48 hours. On the 4th of January 2023 my mom went to the store and the manager told my mom she will call the head office and told my mom she can leave no need to be at the store when she calls with an attitude of course. On the 10th of January 2023 I tried called the head office for the assistance since my mom did get her back yet as promised but was I hit a brick wall as always, I decided to call Schweizer-Reneke store and the incompetent manager told me she only sent the email for a refund and today (10 Jan 2022) have lame excuse as to why she did not sent it on the 29th. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy anything from Gem furnishers and even the head office you can't get through to tge.

I have never in my life received such bad service, I mean a customer is always right is it not what consumers right says, I happen to have bought a bed from the mentioned furniture store the brand of the bed is Restonic, It happend that Im not happy with the product so like any other custormer I contact the shop in request of a return of the bed and a refund considering the bed doesn't have a month since I bought it, the manager is busy giving me a run around informing me that the manufactore is refusing to take back the back or even refund me of my money "Restonic" I am completly funbled over this bad service I am out of word I am in serious need of assistance even thinking of reporting them to the ombusment Regards Lucky Ramatsui Not a happy with the service.

<div>My son bought a Jvc Smart tv LT50n7105 @ Gem/fairs Schweizer-Reneke on credit in 2020/17/08 the tv started turning on but stucked on Jvc logo, we then took the tv back and it was repaired after a long run around by the manager, 4/5 days after the tv showed double pictures we again took it back it was on the 08/08/21 On 2022/02/20 we decided to settle the outstanding amount of R4018.71 at approximately 15:59:02 and I was given the receipt(8171) by the manager . During the second week of February 2022 after the tv was fully settled the tv started again showing double pictures I then phoned the store telling them about the problem , the manager said she will send someone to come and check it, indeed the person came and said he will give the report to the manager, after a day me and my son took the tv back to the store for repair. I then went to check on the progress of the tv , I was told the managers was on sick leave, surprisingly the tv was still on the ground in the shop n according to the store they repair in Vryburg 62x2km to and back to Schweizer. No clarity no feed back about the progress o the tv. Now I feel the store delays deliberately because my son's account is fully paid. I even contacted Speak Out on SABC2 to report this matter. I just need to send them supporting documents being a customer contract, monthly payment including the settlement receipt . The contract started on 17/08/2020 first installment was on 01/09/2020 till 01/08/2022 but I personally settled the account on 20/01/2022 . I was helped by the store manager. We now feel that the tv must be exchanged because it goes back for the3rd time</div>
