Having previously had such good things to say about Gimelli’s restaurant, I cannot quite understand how things have been allowed to deteriorate to the extent they have. The lack of service gave you the distinct impression that paying customers were an inconvenience. If it had been because they were busy and understaffed that would have been understandable, but the restaurant was empty. The dirty glass could have been overlooked had the overpriced food we ordered been extraordinarily tasty. Unfortunately, it was not. Maybe they will use some of their profit margin to repair some of the tables and chairs that were in a terrible state. We skipped dessert because we couldn’t wait to leave. We won’t return I’m afraid.
