Unprofessional sales advice
Very poor service and sales advice. They Sell to you an expensive machine (8kva) and then it does not comply to the specification for your purpose after delivery. When I called them they just tell me that they would’ve advised me that it will not work for my purpose, although I told them before I bought it what it will be used for. Their ignorance to just go with the argument that they would have told me …… their word against mine …… why will I buy a R25k machine if it will not work for me, surely I will know what specs I need ???? Their specification also specify 50hz but effectively it pushes 54hz which os not acceptable for my purpose. Upon my protest they tell me I must go higher to 20kva, but a smaller generator (5,5kva) I had before, worked perfectly ….. does such a comment make sense ? Absolute bad service and unprofessional. They just focus on the numbers, once the sale is done they take no responsibillity thereafter. Think twice before you buy anything from them.

GENERATORS SA
https://generatorssa.co.za/ I bought two generators from this company one for my office and another for a lodge. The first generator was a 13KVAwhich they supplied and installed. Before a year the generator broke down in Dec 22. I called the Genset SA and they told me they were closed and could only help me in Jan 23. With a business to run I had no choice but to get someone to fix it. First my own electrician looked at it and advised that the AVR was faulty. I went to buy it and GENERATOR SA's supplier Turner Morris and they supplied me with one which was different to the one on the machine. On realising this my electrician said they has supplied and incorrect one (a full plate while on the machine its was a half moon 8.5kva AVR) I returned that to the supplier and they gave me a wrong one again a 5.5KVA which did not work. I then took the machine to another repairer who confirmed what my electrician said that the AVR on the machine was not for a 13kva machine. He supplied and fitted the correct AVR and the machine worked. Now GENERATORS SA is refusing to take back their machine or pay for the full repairs. I bought a 13kva machine but they supplied me with a wrong one. This is like buying a 3 Litre car and the supplier gives you a 1.3 Litre engine in a 3 Litre body. Or simply you buy and pay for GTi and they give you the GTi body with a Citi Golf engine. Is that not fraud?

No After Sales Service
The service is great when you purchase a generator but the expectation that you need to bring in the generator to their premises when it doesn't work is totally ridiculous, they don't send out technicians nor will they recommend any. Purchase from somewhere with better after sales service

Never buy from Generators SA
I bought a generator on the 20th of September. Till this day I have not received it. I email generator sa to ask where my generator is and they say it has been delivered already. Please don't buy any generators from these thieves...... stay as far away as possible.

Commendable service. Answer the phones, processed my order fast and sufficient, returned my calls. Listened to my urgency. Promises made by staff was kept. Generator was delivered on time, better than advertised. We need more companies like Generators SA. Thank you to Andullah and delivery guys.
