Scam alert.
Owner of the company now uses a different name to still keep de de frauding innocent people that want to fix their pools. Eugene Johan Louw Genesis coatings, or Eunick dibre glass is the same man. To date i still have not recieved my R 20,000 back for the work he was paid to do which was never done. Do not use this company he will promise u all you want to hear. Ask you for a 70% deposit and the other money on progressive work payment. Which he never does. I ended up getting my home renovations done by another company. Be ware of this fraud star. He has even blocked me from whatsapp. He spoke of paying the money back and yet he has no plan to pay back. Instead he forms another company to scam.more victims. Be ware Of Eugene Johan louw. Sometimes he calls himseld , Nathan or Dean.

Paid but hasnt done work
We hired Eugene loue from Genesis coatings to fix our pool, do our water proofing and fix our ceiling in the entertainment area, kitchen cupoards as well as various other things around the home that needed renovations. We were quoted by Mason. Also known as Eugene louw . He really hounded us for a deposit saying he had already bought supplies for these things because we thought it was a fair quote he gave us. Well Mason or Eugene louw was given the deposit. He came 1 week after we gave him deposit and used the bad weather as excuse . So we let it slide. He drained our pool and painted it. Then he said the paint needed 7 days to dry before he could proceed. After that he asked as to pay balance payment. This was after a week and we said we would only pay balance once we saw acceptable progress on what we were quoted for. To date it has 6 weeks after we paid him a deposit and all he has done is srain and paint the pool and uses weather as his excuse. Yeaterday sunday 17 december he confirmed to my husband he would come. To sort it out and he conveniently is in pretoria and can only come later. We have been hearing this for 6bweeks. Its either hospital or bad weather or i will come tomorrow of which tomorrow never comes. Please people avoid genesis coatings to do any work. He is scaming people as a way of earning a living and this seems to be a trend

Very bad workmanship
This is the worst company I ever had dealing with. The swimming pool was painted with epoxy paint. The concrete is still showing on numerous places. There is sharp objects on the pool floor that was painted over. Trying to get hold of Gene is virtually impossible as he never returns calls or messages. When you do get hold of him there is always an excuse like no stock of ***ment. The pool was not properly prepared before painting. 25 Year guarantee the they offer is definitely a scam as this company will close and you will not find them to honor the guarantee. Do not use this company. They will take your money and never return to fix there poor workmanship.

Very bad workmanship

Pathetic service, untidy work, deceit from owner Eugene Louw
<p>I contacted Genesis Coatings owner Eugene Louw after seeing pools they have done on Facebook. Eugene Louw provided a quote over Facebook after I provided a picture of my pool. I was happy with my quote and asked him to see the pool in person first as I don't want any surprise costs. I asked to quote for a pool bubble blanket as well as pool cleaner. He calls and gets a quote with me present for the blanket at a cost of R2400.</p> <p> </p> <p>Well I then paid him 70% deposit for raising my pool wall, painting the epoxy, doing acid wash, fixing broken pipe, provide pool db board and putting mosaics.</p> <p>While at the pool he told me he would also neaten the tile edges as it was sharp and put the filter sand etc I said I wanted the whole pool sorted before he left with pool cleaner on etc.</p> <p> </p> <p>Genesis coatings Eugene Louw then came to the house fixed the broken pipe. The following week he sent me pics of 2 mosaics only as choice for the pool. I didn't like either and as per his advice decided I rather not put it and save the costs there. He said no problem and anyway the pool bubble blanket cost him R4000 instead of the R2400 that he quoted on. This whole conversation was on What's app. I asked him why did he buy it and not let me know of the price change before purchasing. Genesis Coatings Eugene Louw then proceeds to say that he was in such a rush to get to my pool that he just bought it. I asked if he can return it and he says no he can't because it customised to my pool size.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was completely annoyed by this that he knew that I didn't want cost surprises and he went ahead and purchased something above the quote and expected me to pay for it. I asked for the receipt proving he paid R4000 for my pool blanket, he refused to provide it and then told me I don't have to pay for this pool blanket that was apparently customised to my pool - can you see the deceit and trying to get more money from me.</p> <p> </p> <p>Anyway after he did the job, he sent me pictures to ask if I'm happy. the pic's looked great but when actually looking at the pool you can see the untidy work done. he did not paint neatly close to the tile edges and you could see it was unfinished. on my pool overflow area was also a huge visible cracking. I took pics and complained the same day. How can he say it's 25year guaranteed when I can already see cracks on it. He insisted that it's fine and sealed. If Genesis pool coatings was professional they would've came back to the pool and just neatened the edges and painted over the cracks but Eugene Louw refused to admit any wrongdoing and was not bothered that I was unhappy. He was just interested in getting the balance of the money and tells me he hope's he doesn't have problem getting payment now. I told him there would be no problem with payment if I was happy. anyway he says he will deliver the pool cleaner and I must pay him cash on delivery. I tell him give me exact time he will come. He doesn't contact me thereafter.</p> <p> </p> <p>Now he says he cannot get a pool cleaner so I must minus the pool cleaner and do an eft. I mean really how can you lie about not getting a pool cleaner when they are readily available in all major stores!</p> <p> </p> <p>He was paid roughly 95% of the work done. although he quoted on raising my overflow pool wall when he came to pool he then says that in his professional capacity he does not think it's a good idea to raise the wall as it won't be a strong shell and will possibly break with the pressure. Now he has blocked me on his fb facebook page so I cannot comment on the bad service, bad workmanship, unethical behaviour, deceitful nature etc. But he expects me to pay that 5% balance when he didn't even complete the work as per the quote. </p> <p> </p> <p>Do not trust any of the fb pictures put up as only in person can you actually see the quality of the work done. a very costly mistake in my part as I am probably going to have to redo the pool very shortly. I did call him out on his completely unprofessional attitude and him not knowing much about pools. definitely would not recommend Genesis Coatings Eugene Louw to anyone. Such a pity when you cannot take a customers input into consideration and be honest - all of this would've been avoided. Shame on you ! </p> <p> </p> <p>I have pictures and screenshots of pool and all chats as proof.</p> <p> </p>
