Purchased a Gentech Hy-Brid Solar Inverter 1600 watt/twin batterie from Builders on or about mid-September 2022 and was left with the impression this was a plug & play unit, the unit lasted THREE months with battery "dying" due to excessive load shedding. Reading the User Manual which says, should be installed by a qualified electrician & supported by a Solar. panel/s GENTECH recommended an electrician who installed 2x New Batteries (R 9800.00) supported by 2x Canadian Solar Panels each 545 Watt, cost of Installation, over & above the initial cost of R 12 500.00 - R 27 500.00, total R 40 000.00 - The Installation was done April 2023, today April 2024 the installation is no longer working as Batteries are again "dead" We run a Smart TV if & when, charge 2x Cell Phones, 2x Lap-tops & 1x Reading Lamp - WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!
