On 30 Dec 2016 I arrived at my hotel after a long and tiresome journey to check in to my fully paid hotel. On my arrival the lady at the reception took down my details and let me sign. After that she told me to wait for the manager. The manager took 10 to 20 minutes to come out of her office only to tell me that she does not have the room I booked because she gave it to someone else who came before me as she overbooked the hotel. She told me that she can give me a complimentary breakfast and another smaller standard room with no view. So I told her it's OK as long as she can make for me a plan to accommodate 2 more people. She told me she cannot and all she can offer me is a free meal for 2. I declined and she insist I first go and see the room. She forced me to sign and finalise in order to see the room. I went to see the room to what seemed to me not of that of normal guests but a older room which is reserved for Virgin card holders. The room was totally not what was expected and could have been rated down to a 2 star. After speaking to the other guest we insisted we want a refund. The manager told us no. We stood our ground to what we feel is fair and demanded a refund. She then said my agent will give me a refund but she will cancel my room. I agreed for I had no other option even to think for I was hungry and very tired from my trip. I went around the city to travel agents and hotels looking for accommodation which could not be found at all. I had to stay over a night in another guests room as they offered to help at another hotel and came home the next day disappointed.</div>
